Cobra Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Are this version and solo streams counted together or separately for official charts?
bielneira Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) TikTok generation will never know who Lorde is https://x.com/LordeBrasil/status/1807187155942355402 Edited June 30 by bielneira

The chart shows the original Charli XCX song title. https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singles-chart/20240628/7501/ https://www.officialcharts.com/songs/charli-xcx-girl-so-confusing/ But the version with Charli and Lorde must have been included, otherwise I can't see how the original became the highest charting song from BRAT for the last week. If it was the Billboard charts, I'm sure the chart position would be credited to all the artists on the version with the most sales units that week. Does the remix version ever get credited in the charts, or is it always going to be the first version released?

Sandcastles Posted June 30 Posted June 30 I feel like this could totally get nominated in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance! Am I delusional? 1

They certainly should promote this song in the Grammy voting season, but the song is up against these ones. Taylor Swift has a song with Post Malone from her album. There is a Beatles song "Now and Then" that is probably eligible if it counts as a new recording. Coldplay have alphabetical order advantage and always seem to get in with forgettable music. I'm pretty sure Beyonce and Miley Cyrus have a duet and it's probably eligible in pop. Spoiler don't @ me but I never finished Cowboy Carter but I seem to remember there was a song with Miley Cyrus on the track list From past history, Taylor, Beyonce, Coldplay and anything related to the Beatles will almost certainly get in. People see those names and vote, often without listening to the song, so we are probably looking at one remaining place available in the nominations.
alfonso12 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 They should make a video for this, it has so much potential I'm a DJ and I've been playing at my gigs and people go crazy for it. 2 2
Contessa Posted July 7 Posted July 7 The stabs in the verses (esp the second one) go so ******* hard. Love the techno snares and sped-up drums ag added to the final chorus, like chef's kiss. the way this went from middle of the rank song on the album to maybe top 3 with this remix 1

Letemtalk Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Is this the closest we are going to get to a live performance? Not sure where the party was, I guess both Charli and Lorde are working in the US right now. 2

Wonderland Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I feel like Billie's collab is going to be submitted and snatch the Grammys now nnn

Gwegend Posted August 4 Posted August 4 You can tell Lorde is still awkward and uncomfortable in public. It's kind of endearing and makes me feel for her. But slay for that cute video
P!NK2LOVE Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Lorde's verse on this… naur, this is THE pop culture moment for me in 2024, and maybe in the 2020s in general. The depth, the layers. This set a new standard for a pop culture moment, maturation, remixes… humanity. What. A. *******. Time. To. Be. Alive. I'd RIDE for you, Charli! 2
collin Posted August 17 Posted August 17 This should get the submission, not the Guess remix. Gaga and Bruno are probably taking it regardless though 1
