Letemtalk Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Something like this always happens when I'm away or busy with other stuff, but this is fantastic. There is Grace Adams feat Taylor Swift song (us.) charting on the Global Spotify and US charts, and "The girl, so confusing version" is one place ahead of that song in the UK chart. They aren't going to prioritise something that might benefit an Atlantic/Warner artist. Most likely Warner are thinking much the same thing and 360 is already on TTH. Perhaps if the song continues to chart on it's own, they might take another look. 2
stochastic Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Forgot that inside the icon there's still a young girl from Essex 11

She even hilariously got compared to Nicki Minaj in the Pitchfork review . This is even more ironic when it comes from a Lana stan too, as we saw she wasn't even able to rap "i luv it" live with her chipmunk ass whisper vocals. God knows how bad she would ruin it if she was on the girl so confusing remix. 2 2 4 1

I don't hear Caroline on Apple. Maybe Everything Is Romantic. Apple's "airpOoOoOrt" part, the chorus and lyrics in general all scream Marina for me. Plus you have the "that froot looks familiar!" reference Charli wrote Apple with Caroline in mind and i personally can hear that. Sometimes it even sounds like Caroline is singing because the vocal production mirrors Caroline more than Charli herself. Everything ais Romantic clearly sounds like twigs because of El Guincho.
Nick_317 Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Lorde is EATING that beat up like she is devouring her f**king onion rings 2 7
h.u.r.r.i.c.a.n.e Posted June 23 Posted June 23 BRAT album campaign definitely deserves at least one grammy nod, if not just an outright win. hoping this gets nominated for best pop duo. it's amazing. 5
Braz Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Not a single girl other than Charli singing how it's confusing to be a girl... 1
schnetzka Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Love the remix. Hate that it's not simply called "girl, so confusing (remix)".
305 Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Sad that it dropped so hard I was thinking word of mouth would help keep it afloat. Any chance it could debut on the hot 100?
Bindi Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Lorde ate her verse up. Pure slayage. This might be the best pop girlie collab we've had in decades (!!) 3
John Slayne Posted June 23 Posted June 23 this might be the best women collab of all time and i am so serious. lorde absolutely demolished with her verse and it fits the context of the song perfectly. 3 1
