BGKC Posted June 20 Posted June 20 I'd be interested in seeing Coco Jones cross over from the slow jams, or at least consider experimenting with more uptempo's bc I did NOT forget about this. She has a lot potential.

Yeah, I don't feel comfortable to tell somebody they can't call themselves black when they lived through the experience but that's just me.

Gwendolyn Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) Most of these names are predominately more R'n'B We need more young black pop girls in the lane of Olivia and Sabrina. I loved Rihanna growing up and it feels quite tragic that's the most recent black 'pure' popstar we have had since Edited June 20 by Gwendolyn

lovely88 Posted June 20 Posted June 20 (edited) Tyla, Chloe x Halle, Normani, Coco Jones to name a few. However even though Sza is a millennial herself she is arguably the biggest black pop star for Gen Z. She fits right in with the Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo. Taylor Swift singer-songwriter popstar. Doja Cat is also a gen z pop star but she's mainly a rapper so not quite the same. Edited June 20 by lovely88
