Relampago. Posted June 19 Posted June 19 It's pretty obvious Big Oil is in the pockets of JustStopOil but nonetheless I care more about our Earth dying than rocks, even if they're culturally important 5 2

They really just value artifacts and their own comfort over anything else. Look at how much vitriol a vegan activist inconveniencing someone gets versus the lack of care when Governors allow poultry companies to dump animal waste in water sources. People would rather punch down. 9

Taking extreme actions are the least effective way to change people s opinion. It's unfortunate because there are so many people working hard to bring attention to environmental issues and they are actually making progress, but then you have this set back the progress with public opinions. I honestly think oil companies are behind these stunts These idiots never bring good attention to environmentalists It's basically negative publicity

If the climate collapse isn't enough to get someone on my side then why do I care about morally inferior people? They are jokes. 2

Lana Banana Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) How is this not worse than ISIS destroying historical artifacts? These psychos will step up their game at some point. GROSS. Edited June 19 by Lana Banana 4

The UK is very low on global emissions. 1 1

How does damaging Stonehenge help put pressure on the fossil fuel industry? How about yo go protest at their HQ, go shut down oil places? The reason they don't do that is because they crave attention. 1 1

Nothing was damaged and nothing will be solved until 90% of the world is willing to take to the streets and make demands but people are more upset about one location than the threat that fossil fuels pose to all locations. We should all engage in massive strike action, but people want easy fixes and don't want to be bothered with even giving up meat.
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Idk, personally I think all this does is bring negative attention to the cause. In the eyes of the people (who don't bother to read the paint is washable) it just results in antagonizing the activists. 1
