Alex21kw Posted June 19 Posted June 19 This is such a PR nightmare, Benny Blanco was right there. Her obsession with making the wrong decision every single time should be studied lol. As an old fan I was genuinely thinking she could have her Flowers moment with all the mega viral Teenage Dream tiktoks lately but of course she would ruin her last chance 11
punisher Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Idk why these old pop girls think it's a good idea to hook up with these washed producers who make dated ass music the snippet is not helping her case either, sounds like an Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land reference track that the label sent Marina lmao 4

And let's be real. She is only known on… pop forums and stan twitter communities. Katy is still a mainstream artist. If nobody batted an eye when he produced for Lil Durk and J. Cole last year (ON A GRAMMY WINNING TOP 2 HIT) then why would anybody care if he is co-producing songs for Katy? He did Super Freaky Girl, nobody cared. He did half of Planet Her, and ended up making lile 5 global smash hits for her. Now that the lawsuits are over and settled and nobody is convicted of anything in the legal system, I doubt that this will be a "disaster" for her. But I could be wrong. BUT, it would be severely selective. nothing you say will change the fact that your fave willingly collaborated with the alleged rapist and confirmed abuser of her former friend. inyourarea Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Besides the obvious one, this is a great list of producers, heavy on the new ones. 1
JoeAg Posted June 19 Posted June 19 she could've done all those other guys, added in some Greg Kurstin and maybe some Mark Ronson and had herself a good album with solid producers. but nope! she's choosing to shoot herself in the foot and her comeback will be DOA for many of us who were at one point very excited. super disappointed, shows where her morals lie 8
bestfiction Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Oh, it's over. She should scrap the Luke songs and come up with something new quickly 3

Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted June 19 Posted June 19 When she said "GET READY TO POP OFF", i guess this is what she meant 1 5
BorderBoy Posted June 19 Posted June 19 She knows what she's doing and she did make a choice on this one. I hope nobody will try to justify what she did in case she received backlash over this.
ShouldersSideways Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I wonder if they thought controversy would have to carry the song considering it sounds so terrible. She's a fool for this, morality aside it's an awful move. Doja can get away with having a Dr. Luke credit on a song because people like her and she's of the moment. Katy isn't part of the current zeitgeist and as we saw with Witness people aren't afraid to use her as a punching bag.
Sad Beautiful Tragic Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) He's also been producing for some of ATRL's favorites like Doja, Kim Petras, Nicki, and Snow Wife. We need to keep the same energy for them. Edited June 19 by Ethereal 1 1
Johnnyboi Posted June 19 Posted June 19 If you're gonna do that then the music has to be good enough were people don't care. It's bad so people are gonna talk about it
Kayseri Mantisi Posted June 19 Posted June 19 does this mean she'll be able to make quality bops like Doja Cat, Kim Petras & more and maybe even a throwback sound to Teenage Dream era?? perfect news, can't wait!! 3

Where do I say that it changes this fact? I was arguing that it wouldn't lead to disastrous backlash. And if it would, it would be selective. e.g. men can get away working with him and actually be rewarded for it
