Aurora Posted June 19 Share Posted June 19 If it was the Teenage Dream sound she was trying to recreate specifically, I find it very hard to believe that she couldn't have come pretty darn close to recreating that with Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Cirkut, and Bonnie McKee in tow. It was Bonnie's lyrics and melodies and Benny's understanding of what made a pop song work with the masses that really made Teenage Dream the epic that it was, after all. Even if she worked with Dr. Luke in secret for a few reference tracks and then got other producers to emulate them. Lord knows he's plagiarised enough other artists' music over the years. I tried to turn a blind eye to this as long as I could, but now that the day has finally come it really doesn't sit right with me.
