Popular Post Dear Reader
Quote Thailand will become the first nation in Southeast Asia to legalize same-sex marriage after the kingdom's Senate approved a marriage equality bill on Tuesday, with supporters calling it a "monumental step forward for LGBTQ+ rights." The Senate voted overwhelmingly in favor of passing the bill following a final reading, with 130 senators voting in favor. Only four members opposed the bill. The bill still requires endorsement from the king before marriage equality can become reality in Thailand, but this process is considered a formality. The law will then come into effect 120 days after it is published in the royal gazette. In Europe, for example, almost all Western countries recognize it except Italy… Maybe the fact that one country is doing it can pressure the others to follow suit. Let's stay hopeful

Let's stay hopeful Let's hope so. But Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei are basically Islamic states. And the Philippines, weeeellll…..We can't even pass an equality act that will protect members of LGBT+ of bullying. But Thailand and Taiwan are leading by example.

I'm pretty sure it's rooted in religion, unfortunately. Having the Vatican "inside" the country is not helping either when the Pope throws the *** around like myself at parties. I hope one day Italy will follow the Western standard cause that's the only thing stopping me of visiting it.
