Leptine Posted June 21 Posted June 21 'Lost', can't believe the show has premiered exactly 20 years ago already. Sure the finale was not it, but it still remains one of the best mystery tv shows of all time with the best cliffhangers during final seasons and intrigues plot wise, not to mention characters explorations-background. So far no tv shows for me has managed to reach that level of involvement. 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I rewatch Malcom in the middle like every 2 years. It's such a classic and still holds up

I've learned to like the final season for what it is as well, and actually think it's quite good these days. But the first five seasons are brilliant as far as mystery shows goes. Don't expect any show to reach that level of involvement from me ever again. 2

Absolutely, I am a tv fanatic and watched majority of tv shows from the last 20 years + some old cult classics and nothing really managed to reach the level of that show, it was truly brilliant, at the end you can even forget a mediocre finale when the show had so many highs, plus in my opinion it was expected, it was almost impossible managing to deliver a perfect finale for that kind of plot. 'Alias' from the same creator was also amazing, not at the same level but there were already some interesting elements that recur on 'Lost'. 'Fringe' (from same creator) was great as well but it was more a procedural and a slow burn. 1

And even more so the fact that there was so many different expectations of what the final/final season should have been makes it nigh on impossible task. Haven't seen aither Alias or Fringe. These days I'm not too keen on shows with 20+ episode per seasons, but I'm probaly gonna check them out at some point (at least Fringe). As for mystery shows, I really loved The Lefteovers (which obviously is the same showrunner as 'Lost') which I think stuck the ending in a brilliant way. The same goes for Dark which is one of the better shows of the more recent years (even if it's been quite a while since it ended now). Edited June 22 by Cooper 1
Gladiator Posted June 22 Posted June 22 I forgot Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell are all TV shows I can rewatch again and again.
JoeAg Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Bojack Horseman The Mothaf*cka It's True Show (better known as The Twilight Zone [the OG one from the late 50s-mid 60s]) Bob's Burgers American Dad The Sopranos the first four seasons of Skins UK South Park Parks and Rec the first five seasons of RHOBH and of course the trinity of brilliant miniseries about mid-late 20s traumatized stressed out hot people: I May Destroy You Fleabag Baby Reindeer
Illuminati Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Desperate Housewives Lost Breaking Bad Better Call Saul Game Of Thrones How To Get Away With Murder AHS if you pick and choose just the good seasons Most of the shows with like 4+ seasons are at least decent, otherwise they would have been cancelled. It's hard to go back to these quick 1 season 6-10 episode shows they churn out and abandon every other week now cause you watch them in one or two sittings and don't get attached to any character
Vixen Eyes Posted June 25 Posted June 25 (edited) first 15ish seasons of The Simpsons. anything after that and it kinda gets stale. ill still watch each new season/episode as they come out on Disney Plus though! of and RuPaul's Drag Race too! i always find myself replaying certain episodes (including untucked) for certain moments Edited June 25 by Vixen Eyes
Kevin2803 Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I watch "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" atleast once a year. Besides that, i would say comedy shows like "Friends" or "Sex and the City" probably.
