My opinion on this situation is neutral since the majority of my playlist consists of songs produced by Dr. Luke.

I think she should just keep sharing the 'sexy confident' snippet until the release date and nothing else from the song. It seems like that specific part is generating a lot of attention and interest. Sometimes less is more.

what attention and interest tho? everyone is dragging that snippet to shreds. she doesn't need to share it anymore. if she does, it will become a huge meme i fear. people are already doing parodies mocking it

there is not one artist out there that is squeaky clean.  It's the nature of the business.  As long as the music is good is all I care about.

The only thing that can change this is if the song is somehow completely different than the snippet which most likely is not the case like everyone else has said. Mess is an understatement we seriously can only imagine how release week will be

She has been trending down on Instagram for the past month since American Idol ended. Also, many of the big pop girls have been losing people, which suggests people are closing duplicate accounts or getting off Instagram altogether.

That snippet sounds pretty embarrassing out of context. 'Sexy confident, so intelligent, so strong, so soft' is only six different words. But if the rumors are true and she really made a big music video for this song, she might be able to sell it because the full song is decent, and her videos have a history of enhancing her music.

Over a 10 second snippet, what if those same people end up liking the song when it gets released? I know is wishful thinking but it could happen

Just accept Katy is in the end a rich white american woman, far from perfect, that has definitely shown questionable morals throughout the years.

And she's definitely not the only one, ppl are just joining the hate bandwagon mainly because shes an easy target but they dont really care, the locals don't even know who Dr. Puke is. Look at the swifties accepting the fact that Taylor is ambitious to weird levels and will do anything to stay at no.1 instead of trying to deny it.

I don't want to defend Dr. Luke, nor do I want to diminish Kesha's experience, but we as a general public don't really know what happened. There is no evidence that Dr. Luke is anything more than a simple *******. 

 

However, what can certainly be criticized is his label's celebrities very poor behavior, chaotic album launches, leaked singles and poor choices about artistic directions - see Kim Petras. What I imagine is they treat their stars as depicted in "The Idol". For now, I predict Katy's new single to be more like a flop.
