I don't think she's shading the McDonalds of pop, but she didn't lie!

She wasn't shading Taylor, she was confronting the insecurities Taylor caused in her. It's not her fault Taylor went and proved AG wrong.

what do you mean? i had no idea sympathy was about taylor (causing insecurities to charli) dd

She didn't have to praise Taylor like this after the fanbases turned it into a fight. Love a mature response :clap3:

Swifties talking about artistry when their cult leader farts out variants and plagiarises other artists is ironic.

Swiffers are doing there best to make people feel the same way they did about  Taylor in 2016/17

I lived enough to see oontz oontz gay dancepop to be considered the pinnacle of musical artistry and lyricism considered generic. How far we've come!

Nobody is against lyricism as a form of musicianship. Most of us just agree that Taylor sucks at it and writes, well, generic songs.

the album in question includes:

Apple, I Think About It All The Time, Girl so confusing, Sympathy Is A Knife, I Might Say Something Stupid

yeah it's totally just an album to bop to with absolutely no meaningful lyrics about generational trauma, motherhood, insecurity, womanhood and all that

just a ''gay dance-pop record''

whatever grandma

It's misogynistic as hell.

and she's right!

But don't you think in this case, music reviews judge the music itself, not the general artistry?

Taylor is rightfully headed for another "snake gate" hatetrain, I will gladly be on board for it :clap3:

You're trying to have a discussion with someone that calls POC monkeys. White will always be superior to them no matter what.

from what she said in that metro interview, music is not important. you can be a bad singer/instrumentalist but still be a good artist.

i'm just asking if music reviews are valid in that case, since music reviews review music, not the artist.
