Not only is it the fastest she has ever reached this threshold in a calendar year, it is also only the 2nd time ever she has sold 10M+ album units in a year. Therefore, 2024 already marks Taylor Swift's most successful career year ever, only surpassed by 2023 when she sold 18.9M album units.

 

2024 has over 6 months left to go…

It will be hard to reach 18.9m again ig?? Unless the Eras Tour boost in America will be insane or she releases anothed TV.

 

Anyways 10m is excellent. Looked at some numbers and that's like 20%-40% of many MPG career total in America

And it's only half a year, damn. She might cross the 20mil if they come up with something during the holiday seasons.

But honestly she would run out of steam with the tour alone by the end of this year. Doubt she would do any promos beside dropping some more versions.

That's literally insane. She may not best 2023 unless she releases Reputation TV and TSTV but she may come close to it even without! Amazing  It's crazy we are almost 20 years into her career and she is literally just now experiencing a new career peak when her previous ones were already insanely massive  I kinda wish she did extend the tour and added another like 20 US dates or something just to keep this amazing momentum going but everything has to come to an end and she's already done / doing an insane amount of shows (152). Her strength, resiliency, determination, ambition and discipline are absolutely admirable

I feel like she could potentially beat 2023 at this rate if we do get the final Taylor's Versions in late summer/early fall and then December, as rumored. And 2023 was already the biggest year for any artist in the Soundscan/Luminate era by far.  To think she could end the year having moved over 40 million units between 2023 and 2024 in the US alone is insane.
