She's only listed as writer in most of her songs. But yeah having a vision, choosing the right collaborators and delivering high quality is a talent by itself

Co-produced*. And considering those are the only producing credits she has in her entire discography, that makes me think her input in the production of those tracks was minimal.
Daddy Posted June 14 Posted June 14 She's smart (but also very insecure). I personally wouldn't wanna miss the autotune in her music. The "noise" - how basic swiftie_selena_lavignes of the world call her music - is just perfection to my ears. Never stop, Charles! 7 1

She could have been in the studio next to the mixing console giving detailed ideas for the whole session and not get a producer credit. It happens. Don't assume
Into The Void Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Well most albums are highly auto tuned these days. Charlie Puths 3rd is so overtly vocally processed
sha-nasty Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I still love her tone tho. All of her demos that were released by other artists sound better than the official releases, she makes songs sound like hits
Asscatchem Posted June 14 Posted June 14 if you're an artist, having the best vocals arent necessary to express your art. if you're a kpop idol with 0 artistic input, you better have that talent to prove you're not just a pretty face!
sad girl Posted June 14 Posted June 14 idg why people shame autotune it actually suits charli and her aesthetic lmao 2
Letemtalk Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Everyone is using some sort of autotune and/or vocal processing. Maybe Melodyne or something else. You won't get many charting artists standing up and saying they never use it, because people who know better will call them out. Edit: if your favourite artist ever worked with a vocal producer like Kuk Harrell they almost certainty had some pitch correction done on those tracks. That is his specially, vocal production. Quote My role is to capture the artist's personality. To trick them out with Auto-Tune would defeat that purpose, but consumers are used to hearing things pitch perfect so I use pitch correction to ensure that I have a flawless performance."

She then goes on to explain that having perfect vocals isn't always necessarily more important than being a good artíste. Thoughts? Starts at 15:13 Take a shot every time she says like.

TheBoss Posted June 15 Posted June 15 She used to have pipes tho! like these vocals are so delicate I love them 1 1

Poster Girl Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I love her voice as it's really unique and distinctive. I think she's being way too harsh on herself though. She killed this performance! 1
HASHTAGPOW Posted June 15 Posted June 15 It's giving Britney is the female Jimi Hendrix. She uses autotune like Jimi Hendrix uses the guitar.
Dolce Vita Posted June 15 Posted June 15 she should stop being so hard on herself. her tone is really pretty when she's singing on her non-auto tuned songs though, listen to anything before 2016 and you can hear that
Kh-Loud Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Her current voice is really damaged but she had quite a nice voice with such power and thickness when she was younger!! Had she developed it properly, she could had been one hell of a vocalist unlike some other girls who are vocally talentless; for them, there's only so much proper techniques and vocal trainings can do!
WeFoundWill Posted June 15 Posted June 15 If you care about a persons ability to sing on a record like Brat idk what to tell you...
Phaunzie Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Well yeah, her vocals are subpar but that's part of the charm.
