    • Incredible song, deserved a Grammy!
    • It's good, but not exceptional…
    • Meh, she has better songs
    • I don't like this! Bring back real music!

Colors was pretty much the breakthrough hit for Halsey back in 2015-2016 when Tumblr and the indie-alt aesthetic were in.

What do you think of this song today, ATRL? s:wan:

You're ripped at every edge but you're a masterpiece
And now you're tearing through the pages and the ink

A bopué.  This song was everything to me when I was 18.

This played on loop on my home radio and went 15x diamond here. A classique of late 10s alternative electronic pop me fears:clap3:

New Americana was her breakthrough though... This didn't even chart. At least it went 2xPlatinum and it's a classic :clap3: the music video with the plot twist is such a kii too

You're right, but to be fair, I didn't look at the chart performances but at the MV views :celestial6: Colors feels like a much bigger classic and staple in her discography whereas New Americana seems to have faded with time.

Definitely a bop. I got into her music with this album, specifically New Americana. I thought that was her first hit.

so obviously as a former tumblr kid, this song was HUGE in a similar way that Brat is currently huge: it wasn't a huge smash on the charts, but in the tumblrsphere it was ridiculously ubiquitous (for Brat it's the twittersphere). I don't love it, I think it's lazily written, but I appreciate it for dragging Matty Healy and laying him out like that. Hold Me Down and Drive are the real bops on that album :cm:

One of my favourite songs ever because of the memories

That bridge used to be everything to me during my first heartbreak

It's very of its time but I still like it to this day, albeit a little bit less than I would if I never knew who it was about. :busted:

song is a bop, but the overprocessed always bothered me. they made her sound whiny. HFK is where they got her vocals right
