I think the Pure Heroine era look was deliberate, because that's the look most people think of when they think about Lorde and Charli xcx looking alike. Lorde went for a more sleek straight hairstyle with Melodrama and spend half of the Solar Power era with blonde hair. Last night was her BRAT look, but this might not be what we see in her next era.
