Well, the only one who really needs that is Liam. 
Harry is Superstar, Zayn doesn't seem to care about success, but does his things. Niall lately was a judge in The Voice US which was Great for him. And even Louis, who I expected to flop hard found his niche and even plays festivals.

 

And Liam? Disappered After releasing background shopping mall Music album, and most discussed thing about him was his New face.

I doubt Harry or Zayn would be so petty as to stop the others from making some money. They would get massive backlash from their fans.

Harry can gross $500M+ on his own, so there's probably very little incentive for him to tour with One Direction again. He'd probably only do a very limited run or like a special one-off performance.

I knew going on a hiatus for 18 months was too specific for it to not be a lie and frankly, nobody cares anymore about one direction. their fans either grew out of their obsession or moved on to other artists.

But a comeback in like 10-15 years would be so epic

why would harry carry that dead weight around please. He can make half a billion on his own. Why use his likeness and name to make khias some money. louis cant even fill out a parking lot on his own

I mean I dont see Harry touring with 1D right now due to his own massive solo career, and Zayn because he doesn't seem to care about commercial success. Niall and Louis seem to have found their own niche and they're doing pretty well for themselves and will tour theatres when they want to. 
 

But having said that, the boys do seem to be in a better place with each other now than they were a few years ago. So they (Harry and Zayn) might have a change of heart due to nostalgia and gratitude a few years down the line, and might want to do a reunion tour (the other three will obviously be ready). I have no doubt that they will be successful, and it's just a matter of when, but I know it's coming in the future.

He wouldn't have to go on tour, just allow them use the 1D name

Harry has overall been most successful. 

Niall is not big, but he remains booked and busy with The Voice and has also done well enough with his own music and touring. 

Zayn is really not super interested in success but he had been doing okay.

Poor Liam and Louis though. Perhaps they could do porn.

Zayn never cares about his career. 
Louis and Niall will continue to release music and tour, even if they flop, to get some cheese.

I always had high hopes for Harry, Zayn and Niall. It's still sad that Zayn's solo career didn't go as planned. He could've been the UK's Weeknd, Ne-Yo or Miguel. I'm happy for Harry and Niall, though.

 

Louis' found his niche doing music inspired by Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Oasis and Franz Ferdinand. Niall's gone the Ed Sheeran route and Liam's the only one that never found his sound, the JD Sports music he was making was not it.
