Taylor Swift's activism goes viral on Twitter

At this point, I just feel people mention her to get likes because I don't see the other pop girls doing anything either and yet Taylor's name is the one that pops off the most.

The most popular pop star/celebrity on earth is the one that's getting the most tweets/posts asking them to say something...shocker!

I don't like Taylor at all but this is stupid. If she said nothing the internet would also be on her ass for not saying anything :rip:

I think people are so frustrated with Taylor especially because she literally has the influence to shift an election.

she endorsed hilary and she lost the election :rip:

people are just frustrated because they love being frustrated. all this misguided anger people throw toward her for no reason but none at the people who's actual job this is lmao

I do wonder why these people keep pestering Taylor Swift but NONE of the Black celebrities who cosplay as Black Revolutionaries

ex: Beyonce and Jay Z LARP as Black Panther members and love to reference Black Leftist art (keep in mind Black Panthers were very PRO PALESTINE) yet no one demands them to speak up. They keep asking Lana and Taylor, Taylor and Lana. Every other week its a viral 100K tweet condemning either Taylor or Lana for being silent when there's other artists who have profited off of Leftist imagery and yet do nothing.

I'm done with the selective outrage.

oh :clap3:

Shes's right in what she said, but yeah the white women activitvism that unironically also serves herself is quite amusing

and the thing is… during the Lover era when she was speaking on several topics such as lgbt rights, pronouns, the importance of Juneteenth and other social justice topics the THOTS screamed she was being performative and said that she wasn't being genuine.

that's why i don't give a single **** if she says or doesn't say anything anymore at this point because no one is going to be satisfied :toofunny2: if anything i'm glad she's silent because it's funny watching the fake anger. a good percentage of the people dragging her for being silent, or being a fake feminist or not being a girls girl haven't said a single thing about Palestine in good faith, feminism and streamed the latest Ariana album lol. it's just disingenuous talking points and virtue signaling. yawn

Yeah that was almost 8 years ago. Don't be obtuse.

i agree with your second paragraph. I literally don't care what any celebrity believes or endorses. It's none of my business and doesn't matter. I thought we all decided to denounce celebrities after that wretched Imagine video but apparently not and so this is the way it is. So don't act obtuse on why Time's person of the year is getting more heat than someone whose latest album isn't even seeing 5M daily streams

I'm not. It's weird that people place all this power on a pop star :rip: Regardless of what Taylor does or doesn't say about the election, if YOU haven't done your due diligence then that's not her responsibility lol.

and idk about any imagine videos but sorry that happened.

Yup I remember all of this

I was never a Swiftie but I remember when it was trendy to **** shame her in the 2010s IRL + online & make fun of her for having tons of boyfriends. Even before everyone became a feminist's I knew this was some nasty behavior. And when she was speaking up on BLM/LGBT rights etc they were all calling her an opportunist :rip: Taylor is friends with the Hadid sisters and went to a Gaza charity a few months back. I feel like she's helping in ways behind the scenes. The internet people will never be satisfied with what she does no matter what :rip:

All of a sudden everything that Taylor has done in the past is erased bc you don't like her or she did something you don't like  :dies:

Not one Black person to be seen on your Last.FM page :rip: where's your support for Black artists?

and you are trying paint this image of me, an actual Black person, throwing Black artists under the bus in favor of white people? if this were true or a common occurrence, which it isn't, surely you can point out instances of such; but you cant because what you said is a lie.

But yeah, I'm so evil for calling out the tiring double standards on social media. Gworl bye.
