Batsy Armada Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Our educational system needs to be greatly reformed. Money should never be taken away from public schools; that directly contributes to the problems we're facing, among a multitude of other issues. This hurts way more children than it'll help. All children deserve the same level and quality of education. No one deserves any less just because of their zip code and what their family may, or may not, be able to afford. I absolutely hate our educational system and the politics surrounding it. It's just absolutely disgusting. 1

If so, then this idea leads to schools being shut down and other schools being overwhelmed by a massive influx of students, with students without reliable transportation getting hurt the most. There is no systemic defense for school vouchers as a policy as scale. The simplest and better solution is to just stop public schools from being funded based on local property tax. This stupid design makes rich neighborhoods have super well-funded schools while poor neighborhoods struggle to keep the lights on because the amount of tax revenue to fund them is tied to the property tax amount of the neighborhood around them. You know what, you're right. I was being too emotional, thinking about my own personal experiences and what I've wanted. This s*** ain't right
Raiden Posted June 13 Posted June 13 (edited) Wasn't this mofo also trying to introduce a "bitcoin academy" into the projects? (crypto promo disguised as helping the poor) A useful idiot always providing black cover for antiblack colonizer scams devised by Wall Street, like the very absurd American situation of the constantly increasing government funding PRIVATE schools while underfunancing PUBLIC schools for decades. Raiden Posted June 13 Posted June 13 One of the ways this scam works is that these private / charter schools receive the subsidy funding related to the kids............ then kick out the scholarship students after halfway into the semister. The money goes to a private school while the kids still end up in public. 1

Private education in itself should be abolished. There's no way to promote social cohesion and a collective society if there's no uniform, shared experience of public education. It's funny how they go around talking about equality vs equity. But then go make education a rich privilege whereas a less component rich person will likely receive more opportunities than a poor one, instead of based on merits.
