Like, litterally what is there to do if Russia decides to send a submarine to Cuba? Do you know how many times in the last three months China has made intimidating maneuvers towards Taiwan and the Philippines? Enough for anyone to lose their ****. The moment anyone begins nuclear warfare (especially on a NATO country) the world as we know it most likely ends. Someone who values their power, such as Putin, also would most likely die in the hysteria of it all and there'll be no one here to remember even if he thinks he "won". That isn't to say we shouldn't be concerned about Russia or China or anyone else. We should, most certainly. And no the world situation isn't great at the moment. But we're not moving toward another world war. It isn't going to happen any time soon. The political structure of the entire world is so wildly different now than it was then that in order for us to actually get to the point of a world wide war, a lot would have to change. jadeabove Posted June 6 Share Posted June 6 I remember when those same Twitter accounts noted that an American nuclear submarine moved into the Mediterranean Sea when Iran was blabbing a lot and threatening Israel. The military is there to do a show of force. I personally think this is not news we should be privey to. It's completely useless and simply anxiety inducing. Their invasion of Ukraine is totally justified. If a hostile country started a military buildup in Cuba/Mexico, of course the USA would respond militarily!!!!"
