Suilen Posted June 6 Posted June 6 I can acknowledge that AM is superior and has many Japanese releases that are missing on Spotify, which is of personal relevance to me, but Spotify is still cheaper for me, and it's easier to pay for in my situation. I also remember it being quite buggy when I tried the trial, but that was long ago.
Terylee Posted June 6 Posted June 6 I tried to switch to Apple Music for these reasons, but their navigation is a disaster and some of my songs that I had in my iTunes library were suddenly gone. So, I switched back to Spotify.

So, I switched back to Spotify. I was actually coming here to post this. I used Apple Music predominantly since it was released, until I made the switch to Spotify. Apple Music is a great app on Mac and iPhone, and while I have both of those, I use those devices far less than I do my PC and Pixel - and the Android and Windows versions of Apple Music leaves far more to be desired. From a UX and a UI perspective, I find it difficult to navigate as well as manage music and the library management has me feeling very frustrated. I had hoped I would switch to it, but after the experience I am having with it, I believe I will cancel my subscription and go back to Spotify next month. Also if I have it open on my computer and go to listen to it on my phone, I get a popup saying that I can't listen on more than one device unless I upgrade to a family plan. Whereas I can seamlessly switch between sources when I am using Spotify as. well as control one playback device with the other, which is convenient. Edited June 8 by Gladiator

This is why I couldn't do it, I think if you're a primary Windows/Android user Spotify works 500x better. Our best bet on Windows is a third-party AM app some redditors made because of how terrible AM is for us on Windows. Tidal is a much better option for Windows/Droid users that has lossless audio tho.
Kiss It Better Posted June 9 Posted June 9 after using both (and still do) for almost 2 years, i can say that what's better is depends on what device you're on, when you're on apple devices Apple Music is miles better in all terms especially sounds quality, but if you're on android (and windows laptop to an extent) Spotify might be better (with worse audio tho)
