Kim Kardashian's outfit to Janet Jackson's concert was more than 30 years in the making.

The reality star wore the same costume that the singer sported in her 1993 "If" music video while attending the show in Thousand Palms, Calif.

Kim, 43, showed off the custom suede crop top with bone detailing and lace-up flared pants via her Instagram Stories ahead of Jackson's "Together Again" tour stop.

Kardashian bought the outfit in a 2021 auction.

The only positive thing I can say is that she's recognising iconography.

How small are these people in real life?

Not yall overreacting over a piece of clothing. She bought it. Otherwise it would've sat in someone's closet for another 40 years.

Like it's not that deep.

If you were genuinely concerned about the well-being of this garment you would've been aware of its impending sale and found a way to acquire it yourself. Same goes for that Chris Pratt house.

Uhm, yes, because most people got money to buy San Francisco area real estate and clothing that famous people have worn :skull:

What on earth made you look at those two pictures and think "that is a totally accurate comparison picture with 0 differences in lightning and angle. I can definitely use this to play little detective!"? :rip:

The literal museum that owns the dress has confirmed there has been no damage:

Quote

But the gown's owner, Ripley's Believe It or Not, says a "calculated risk" was made in allowing the dress to be worn and it was not damaged "in any way".

Ripley's Believe It or Not was widely criticised for allowing the TV star to wear the fragile gown. However, on Thursday it rejected the damage claims.

"From the bottom of the Met steps, where Kim got into the dress, to the top where it was returned, the dress was in the same condition it started in," Amanda Joiner, Ripley's vice-president of publishing and licensing, said in a statement.

She bought it. She can do whatever she wants to it. End of story.

Why wouldn't you wear that to a Janet Jackson concert if you owned it? :cm:
