So happy for me and others who do not use that terrible app.

They need to fix hashtags instead of doing things like this.

i don't engage on ig, i post and i leave, and mostly stories so they ain't getting ad views from me

Next, I'm sure they'll debut a $10-20/ month subscription tier to remove ads

genuine question - has anyone here ever seen an ad for something interrupting the media they are actually trying to consume and been like, "Oh, gee I might go out and buy that now?" it usually just makes me hate their product :deadbanana4: I know that this is such a rudimentary take on advertising because obviously it's such a huge industry, but I genuinely don't understand how it works :skull: if I didn't know any better I'd think it was just an elaborate money laundering scheme or something.

Ads are unfortunately very effective. They might seem annoying and we hate it, but it does affect us unconsciously

There's a reason why companies pay a lot of money for ad space

Instagram is also allowing AI to save and copy your info, it's not worth it and I would argue that the same thing will be done with every other social platform that exist. The next 5 or 10 years will be interesting when it comes to this type of stuff including streaming and what direction it goes in, if still around.
