k pop fans only stream music videos and buy albums it seems like (at least to a meaningful extent). They purchase albums to collect them and get them signed by their favs and stuff in events and meet ups which k pop groups do a LOT. It's why most k pop acts have really tragic streaming numbers on spotify and stuff but have amazing numbers on youtube
