Britain has warned Lebanon that Israel will launch a large-scale offensive in mid-June whose extent and duration are not known, and advised Beirut to "make the necessary provisions for the war," according to the Lebanese news outlet al-Akhbar.

The EXACT thing that made Iraq go from being an Ally to USA to being considered an enemy.

After Iraq attacked Lebanon, Saudi Arabia became scared and that made US panick (after helping Iraq build one of the biggest militaries in the world).

Why is Israel wanting to go to war with everyone? What did Lebanon do?

Netanyahu is clearly reckless.

I'm Lebanese, and they've been saying this every week since October 7th. It's just a scare tactic for border negotiations.

Hezbollah, the new poster boy of the morally upright leftist westerners, a group that wantonly murders civilians and politicians in their own country for 0 reason, and has plunged the entire country to the border of civil war-like total collapse has literally been bombing civilians in Israel for months on a daily basis and displaced over a hundred thousand Israelis? How is a war about to "start"? What other countries in the world are there where one could incessantly bomb your direct neighbor on a daily basis for months and promise you will eradicate them all, and it wouldn't be considered an act of war?

Exist.

It doesn't seem like you've been following this conflict very closely, here's a quick summary to help catch you up:

Quote

NAHARIYA, Israel, April 4 (Reuters) - From a temporary seaside abode in northern Israel, Shay and Reut Hanegbi can hear the explosions when missiles are fired from Lebanon towards their hometown on the border, only four miles (6 km) away.

They are among around 60,000 Israelis still uprooted from the small frontline communities since October, when the powerful militia Hezbollah began attacking from Lebanese hilltop villages and forest hideouts.

Many homes and farms have been destroyed by guided anti-tank missiles launched from within Lebanon. The airstrikes, shelling and rockets have marked the worst fighting on the Israel-Lebanese front in almost two decades. Although it has not amounted to a war, it risks becoming one, fast.

It is the danger of Hezbollah carrying out a similar attack to that of Hamas, whose gunmen burst into Israel, killed 1,200 people in their homes, on army bases, along roads and at an outdoor rave, and seized 253 hostages, including children.

Hezbollah had been signalling it was preparing such an assault for years, said a senior Israeli official who requested anonymity due to security sensitivities.

They really want to expand their genocidal regime to Lebanon and Syria and the west doesn't even bat an eye. I wonder why.

"launch" as if Terrorist Israel hasn't been regularly attacking Lebanon (and Syria) for years and years. They have been threatening to invade the country since October. They even launched an airstrike on Beirut and no one moved.

Wow, wait till you find out that Hezbollah has been launching airstrikes on Israeli civilians on Israeli territory for literally no reason for decades now! This will surely be a shock to you:

From 2006: "The Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah surprised Israel with a bold daylight assault across the border on Wednesday, leading to fighting in which two Israeli soldiers were captured and at least eight killed, and elevating recent tensions into a serious two-front battle."

https://web.archive.org/web/20090129193940/http://iht.com/articles/2006/07/13/africa/web.0712mideast.php

From 2024: "May 2024 is the month with the highest intensity of Hezbollah attacks against Israel since October 2023. Throughout May 2024, Hezbollah carried out 325 attacks. The daily average of attacks was 10 per day"

Weirdly enough, no one moved in response to these airstrikes, but I'm sure the condemnations by the pro-ceasefire/pro-peace crowd will be coming in any second now.

Meanwhile the unedited opinions of a Hizbullah Academic showing off his unparalleled moral compass admired universally by Western extreme leftists:

Quote

Hizbullah-Affiliated Lebanese Academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi: Hitler Recruited Child Soldiers, So Why Shouldn't We? There Is Nothing Shameful About Raising Children On The Principle Of Sacrificing One's Life.

"So, yes. Hizbullah does raise its children on the principles of service and sacrifice, as well as on the principle of sacrificing one's life. This is nothing to be ashamed of. On the contrary, it's an honor, for anyone raising his children on the principle of self-sacrifice, for the sake of others, the country, and the nation.

Seems like an upstanding, moral bunch of citizens you have decided to throw your hat in with :clap3:

This entire conflict literally started because Iran began to meddle in a foreign country (Lebanon) during a Civil War they were undergoing? Do you have anything to contribute besides vaguely amusing emojis?

I mean, here it is in the own word of the Hizbollah?

Quote

Our primary assumption in our fight against Israel states that the Zionist entity is aggressive from
its inception, and built on lands wrested from their owners, at the expense of the rights of the
Muslim people. Therefore our struggle will end only when this entity is obliterated. We
recognize no treaty with it, no cease fire, and no peace agreements, whether separate or
consolidated.
We vigorously condemn all plans for negotiation with Israel, and regard all negotiators as
enemies, for the reason that such negotiation is nothing but the recognition of the legitimacy of
the Zionist occupation of Palestine. Therefore we oppose and reject the Camp David
Agreements, the proposals of King Fahd, the Fez and Reagan plan, Brezhnev's and the French-
Egyptian proposals, and all other programs that include the recognition (even the implied
recognition) of the Zionist entity.

But good luck living in your own reality, I guess? Have fun?

This war will devastate Lebanon which has a very weak economy already and Israel reputation is down to toilet, with more civilians deaths added in Lebanon they will further damage their reputation (which was already bad). This war does nobody no good. A solution to this is establishing a ceasefire in Gaza which will immediately result in a ceasefire in Lebanon too.

Also check the number of civilians death in violent episodes between Palestine and Israel before Iran got involved and compare them now.
