It was about a girl with a traumatic life meeting a boy on a psychiatric hospital and they kind of fell in love or something. It was called "Into The Deep Blue" and it was set to be filmed on London last year but they kept pushing the filming back because she was prioritizing music and after the success of Espresso and PPP the movie IG account was deleted so the film is basically cancelled.

And about the Alice in Wonderland, she has her own production company and made a deal with Netflix and one of the films was Alice in Wonderland, but make it Wonderland as a music festival. It was announced on 2019 or something but then nothing happened.

into the deep blue wasn't canceled! that was a fan account, they replaced sabrina. https://deadline.com/2024/08/into-the-deep-blue-india-amarteifio-damian-hardung-queen-charlotte-maxton-hall-1236033496/

hopefully she'll pick up a new project after the SNS tour.

What's going on with HDD? Still no projections for this week's numbers? I get we had a holiday weekend but come on. They didn't even update the chart on the $$$ page.

It's now out! Projected to stay #1 with 155k. Post is second with less than 90k so I think we have a second week at #1 secured :clap3: Now I expect it has a chance to stay for a third week :WAP:

The Scammys... you know what you have to do. For some reason I know she will be snubbed in the main categories though because she doesn't make sad girl music.

Anyway, I prefer the global smashing anyway.

If she keeps her hype going she has a great chance for the GRAMMYs

She has success, acclaim (against all odds and expectations, especially for such a horny pop album dddd), and is the ONLY pop girlie right now actually actively campaigning for one with private events and GRAMMY Museum showcases.

Its interesting how she managed to build a career out of copying doja cat and maintain the hype with exposing her love triangle with Shawn & Camila.

Billie will sweep the GF anyway, and Sabrina can always try next time she needs to establish her superstardom first

Busy Women is too good to be a bonus track like that's a banger right there but I'm happy that we got to hear it so no complain

I love the whole album but has anyone noticed that Juno is the same as When by Shania?

Despite this clearly being a ragebait post, I do have to agree that she's basically following the Doja print and doing it flawlessly (Doja's Eras tour moment would've been The Weeknd tour before she dropped out methinks), but Sabrina is basically the more palatable and GP friendly version of Doja's pop sound (recall Doja's earlier material also having lots of humour, wit and puns in the songs) and she actually seems to enjoy releasing pop music rather than it being tainted by being a vessel for a certain producer to slap their vanity credits all over her albums with and propel himself back into the industry...... Doja however, carved out her own lane of being a female rapper in the pop landscape and being able to switch back and forth between the two is something not a lot of artists can say they have, even Nicki still can't put out a fully unapologetic pop song because of all the **** she got back then for Starships. Whereas Doja went straight for the pop audience first and didn't bother pandering to the rap audience because they knew they wouldn't take her seriously. She's the chameleon. Too versatile to be stuck doing one particular sound forever which not only gives her lasting power but the ability to take risks, and that woman is honestly a true artist in every sense, pushing past the need to be an industry backed puppet anymore. Sabrina will get there one day, but I fear she's about to have a lot of different people in her head telling her what she should do after this massive commercial success.

TLDR: Doja did pop because she knew it would unlock more opportunities for her to do whatever she wants later, Sabrina's doing pop because it's her passion.

She was supposed to star in a movie to be recorded summer last year but she just postponed it to death and now the movie was shelved/cancelled and it seemed like her big breakthrough role :rip: also she has this Alice in Wonderland movie with Netflix that she was set to direct and that has been FOR years announced but I think she's just focusing full time on music to establish herself even more now that she's an A-List but I can see booking some roles in the future on her free time to keep her name afloat and establish herself as a celebrity and not just a singer

I agree and since she's been acting pretty consistently her entire career, it'll be more seamless rather than like a hard pivot please get me out of pop music ala a Gaga or an Ariana.

Sabrina gives me that she'd serve a Selena Gomez type of endearing personality leading the acting career and celebrity brand.

I know ATRL is Team Espresso but if she's smart she will submit Please x3 for Best Pop Solo Performance at the Grammys and she could be competitive for a win

She can submit Espresso for ROTY (she's not winning that one anyways)

Just racking up more and more scrobbles on last.fm without any signs of slowing down :wanda:This album truly is IT

Re: Sabrina using personal life/drama to propel her career. I just want to note two things. One, in both 'love triangles' the other artists brought forth the narrative first, I find it odd that Sabrina typically gets judged here for writing about those instances when the others involved did it first. There's nothing wrong with it, artists often draw from personal experience to inform their creative endeavors, just interesting how some are perceived differently than others. Two, audiences have to actually care about an artist and their personal life in order for it to help their career. It's not enough to just parade your "drama" around. Something I love about SnS is that she draws from humor, sarcasm, heartbreak and so many other variables to paint a full picture. It's a testament to how strong she is of a lyricist. Even the sillier turns of phrases work well.

It's so funny to think that ATRL says she doesn't have a distinctive aspect on her image/persona/output that makes her outstand next to the other girls because in reality she really has a very well known persona by the GP and almost all demographics and it's obviously her quirky humor and tongue in cheek but also story telling and relatable lyricism that's also have a very smart output.

You can tell the moment she started to do the Nonsense outros that she knew that was her lane, everyone on the shows and social media were waiting for the end of the song to see with what she came up with and then she just filled that lane.

It helps even more than her personality has always been like that, she's just so fast at throwing fun words, you can't tell she doesn't even have time to think, those jokes came out just straight outta her mouth and that makes her more genuine and authentic and by so, a good branding from her.

Sometimes I think that coming up with funny relatable and unique phrases is even harder than come with something deep and full of metaphors and obscure words even more in ballads or Christmas songs, she's just a lyrical genius and her writing skills sometimes is very overlooked by some people but I think it's what makes her the beloved pop star she is right now.
