But I don't agree Miley only won because it was a hit cuz they are unpredictable, for Camila,, all her hits didnt win Havana Senorita BamBam, but a flop like Mi Persona Favorita won. Wrecking Ball was her best shot at one before Plastic Hearts and the 2014 Grammys were super competitive with Royals (deservedly) winning Best Pop Solo Performance. Her music is terrible, only Selena's and Demi's is worse I guess, and all her good will was founded on boomers being gagged by her singing covers on Facebook. As mentioned, Madonna didn't get a Grammy until she was 41. Miley was first seen as a Disney kid, then was too controversial, then kinda disappeared. There's a reason she's barely got nominated in 20 years, just like her peers. 2. Her image from Bangerz up to Younger Now was almost comical. She tried too hard to be a good girl gone bad in the worst possible way. Her antics and gimmicks were embarrassing and made her look like a brat. I'm glad she's got the recognition she's had with Flowers because it's always felt like these Disney girls have been overlooked in favor of other bigger pop girls when their music is not as bad as some people make them seem. There was about a 10 year stretch between Bangerz and Endless Summer Vacation where her music simply didn't garner that much attention, so of course she didn't win a Grammy during that time.
