After the dud of A.K.A., it was a refreshing change of pace. Should have promoted it as a self-love type of album... and not a reunion with Ben album. 2

I'm over it I've always said it Atrl fun shade is one thing when we poke fun of some of our faves. but I am noticing that with a lot of people, going as far as creating "entertainment news channels" and it's all to talk bad about a an artist. There's this one dude on YT everyday is something nasty about JLo, i asked him "so you created your channel to bash jlo or to actually talk entertainment?" I was reported 3
ToMmY Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Cancelling a whole ass tour because of a break-up is crazy and basically shows how little she cares about her fans. 25 years of career and she has had more marriages than world tours. 2 9 2
808dream Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Something went terribly wrong at some point in her music career. And he didn't even change her hair color.
Batsy Armada Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I really do like her, and I'm sorry it turned out this way. There's no doubt she can put on a great show, but it's been a long time since she's truly connected with audiences through her music. I've felt like she should have rebranded herself years ago, especially when it comes to putting her music more in the forefront—if she wanted to embark on such a tour. 1
concubine Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I don't want to see Charli XCX / Troye Sivan fans kiing in here.
skeeyee Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Well atleast she won't have to worry about any service workers of the tour looking at her in the face! 6 2

I have no idea why she insists on making quasi-soul/R&B music when she honestly doesn't have the voice for it. Just make dance bangers again, you know the gays will flock back.

KaledKalil Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Part of the reason of her backlash and hate train is that she wants to play both parts: she is that diva backstage that demands people not to look her in the eye, and she allegedly treats working people badly, but she wants the public to see her as relatable, as that little girl walking around the block. Some people came forward, allegedly from her past, saying that she wasn't that kind of girl, so she always tried to profit from a fabricated relatable background. If you want to be a diva, stick to that. No one is denying that she's capable of putting on a show, she is a talented entertainer (even tho a lackluster singer), but cancelling a tour for that reason is kinda unconsidered to her fans that actually bought the tickets to see her. If the show was selling out, I really doubt she would cancel it because of a failing relationship. 7 1 1 5

Jay07 Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I seriously struggle to believe she cancelled an entire tour to "work on her marriage". She's had 3 divorces and never stopped working, she's a workaholic. The tour was obviously flopping and was too costly to go ahead. Ben will probably be off on a movie set when they're supposed to be working on their marriage. 2 1

At the very beginning girl. Authenticity is a huge part of maintaining a long-term fanbase and career in music and J Lo may be ambitious, charismatic and a good performer, but she never had any artistry, vision or identity. Music is just a means to an end for her to be rich and famous, and as a result, she's been content with singing random assortments of demos, of pretty much any mainstream genre, for the last 25 years. That's not good enough for 15k people in any given city to pay 500$ to see her perform radio fodder from the Bush administration 2 4 1

It's all about sex, party, money whatever. It's nothing deep to be called an artist. Combined with the rumours or facts whatever they are when people said she stole songs and vocals as well as her flat vocals & using airplays to chart, this really hits her music career hard. Movie quality somehow comes to same as she has a low review score on Metascore. There's a reason why she has no Grammy and Oscar/ Golden Globe. Edited June 2 by shakeyourbombom 4 4
suburbannature Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Everyone wants to wake up to the news I woke up to this morning. Everyone. I was preparing my coffee, turning on wi-fi and the first thing I read is: "Jennifer Lopez CANCELS summer US tour." I blinked my eyes countless times and I went on Facebook just to see more and more posts about it. I couldn't believe it. My JLo dream was beginning and there I was at 8AM sitting in my kitchen looking at the screen of my iPhone. I know this may sound a bit too much but… Yes. Tears started falling from my eyes and they wouldn't stop. I don't consider this to be an over dramatic reaction like many of you could easily consider. I look at it as unconditional hate, dedication and passion. Something unexplainable, no one can translate hate into words or even admiration. Some people get your attention and you don't know why. And while I am fully aware that Jennifer Lopez is over, she's just down to zero booked venues, I also am aware that it's never going to be the same. It doesn't matter if it is JLo, Jenny from the Block, Jennifer, or the Woman Mariah Doesn't Know. It doesn't. I saw this flop being born when she was just a crazy little girl in the Bronx running up and down the block. A few years later she turned into a weak and unconfident vocalist and extremely uninspirational. She brought the term "theft" back in the music industry and scored zero of the biggest hits of this new decade. I was obsessed and extremely proud of it. I've always been aware that flops are not meant to last and that's why I joined Amazon just to see her bomb of a film this year. I knew this was a fast career and that's why I spent over 0€ on this flop (I've watched her live zero times, I met her zero times, I didn't streamed her music, I took a trip just to avoid her, paid hotel… You make the counts!). I wanted to live it as much as I could and looking back I am so proud of every single thing I did to avoid her. She brought back my troll vein in a way I've never experienced before. Gaga, Taylor… They're both established artists and it's another story on how their careers are handled. Every JLo anti was aware that Ben Affleck was not happy. Ever since "Name Any Song ft. Pitbull" became a smash, something went wrong and the relationship between JLo and her three remaining fans has been weird. There's indifference and I don't know what to think. Nonetheless, I am no one to judge that. All I want to make clear is: JLo is never going to be JLo again and that's why I feel like my dream has been achieved. My JLo dream has begun. It feels so good when you're not prepared… After all she announced this tour just last week. And no. I am not turning my back on DanceAgain. This was a rough decision but I know what it's like to be in a place where you don't belong or feel included and sometimes... It's better to just go for it. Yet, I always like to see things from the bright side and I am going to always support JLo as a group just like any of the five women she stole vocals from. They've had an amazing and beautiful impact in my life (unlike her). JLo… Good luck. DanceAgain… Good Luck. JLo… Thank You. You've given me the ultimate troll experience and you've been so uninspirational. All of you ft. Pitbull. "You're my everlasting hate" JLo, "Everlasting Hate" 9 1 1

Truth Teller Posted June 2 Posted June 2 50 minutes ago, justinxx said: i say this as a fan of the person in your avi, but the irony... There is no irony. Christina's last tour did well and was not canceled. I don't think she would be able to sell a US arena tour of the size J Lo was going for, but the reasons are entirely different. Christina's problem is visibility and relevance; J Lo has both of those covered all year round. Her issue is that people do not view her as a musician / recording artist, hence she invested all these millions into making a personal album and a Lemonade-lite film to go along with it and it ended up making her a laughing stock.

Strawberry Bubble Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I must say, it's a bit surprising that an artist of her stature, who has even performed at the Super Bowl and is internationally recognized, is flopping this hard. I guess no one in the music industry is safe from flop culture.
