Kavish Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Would have loved to see an Indian-descent in such a big franchise but oh well. Too much flavour I guess.
My Tears Ricochet Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Now that would've been a perfect casting. Pedro is just so old to be Reed 2
shimind Posted May 26 Posted May 26 these white directors and producers will never let a brown race to succeed. Such a shame. 1

Yup, the brown people are still being typecasted as either the nerds or sidekicks in big movies. The only recent example who did her own thing and became a lead was Priyanka Chopra in Citadel but she still hasn't been able to bag as many as big leading roles in Hollywood even after a decade, as she did in Bollywood. edit: on there is Dev Patel I guess Edited May 26 by Witnessed ET 1
rzal Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Sad, I'm tired of this reverse ageism era in Hollywood where old people are getting all roles. 2

Life Savers Posted May 26 Posted May 26 He would have been great casting. I still think Pedro is awfully miscast for this particular role.
