toast Posted May 25 Posted May 25 (edited) This is a multiple things can be true at once situation That being said, weed is not dangerous enough to warrant this level of policing Edited May 25 by toast

Quote official policy since the late 20th century has been to openly tolerate all recreational use while tolerating possession and trade under certain circumstances. This pragmatic approach was motivated by the idea that a drug-free Dutch society is unrealistic and unattainable, and efforts would be better spent trying to minimize harm caused by recreational drug use. this is why they called it a "soft drug" in the press release. Quote Legal distinctions are made in the Opium Law between drugs with a low risk of harm and/or addiction, called 'soft drugs', and drugs with a high risk of harm and/or addiction, called 'hard drugs'. Policy has been to largely tolerate the sale of soft drugs while strongly suppressing the sale, circulation and use of hard drugs, effectively separating it into two markets. I always thought this was very interesting so I just wanted to share what the actual legal situation here is. the only reason she is even considered doing something criminal is the transportation, as you already pointed out. which is something I feel like every human with a working brain cell should comprehend but alas 1

She's a mess, but maybe this arrest will be a blessing in disguise and get her the help she obviously needs. Her fans calling this iconic are just sad, like imagine having supporters who are cheering on your spiral in this way
