I've never seen any movie from this franchise. Is it worth it? All I know is China Anne McGod completely owns these movies but i have heard it by hearsay

Descendants? It's the High School Musical of Gen Z. Same choreographer in Kenny Ortega and big dance numbers like HSM. Plot wise, it's about Disney's famous movie heroes and villains now having kids and those kids being invited (or not) to a special kingdom's school programme while the villains are banished to the badlands. 

 

This is the fourth film but it's different from the first three which focused on Malificent's daughter and friends. The main girl here Uma (Ursula's daughter) is a villain in one of the earlier movies so I guess she's the new lead going forward.
