Click Clack Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Quote It's thanks to the best rappers of all time that hip-hop has continued to grow and become the beloved genre and influence it is today. The best rappers of all time include those like Lil' Kim and Kendrick Lamar, who combine a lyrical know-how with a style that's their own. Between critical acclaim, cultural influence, album sales, innovation in the genre and more, this list compiles the top 50 rappers of all time. Quote There are few rappers as spirited and animated as Nicki Minaj and the rapper's various personas. Born Onika Tanya Maraj in Trinidad and Tobago, Nicki has since become one of the most influential and successful female artists in hip-hop to date. Her 2010 debut album, Pink Friday, was her breakout moment that helped set everything else in motion. With singles like "Super Bass" and "Moment 4 Life," she quickly rose to fame and began a career of redefining gender norms in the male-dominated industry. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, in 2012, was met with similar fandom. There are few like her, with a knack for rapid delivery and alter egos and unwavering confidence. Plus, her visuals and fashion style are almost just as good as what she lays on the track. Despite her success and impact on the culture, she has never won a Grammy, which underscores some folks' recent frustrations with the awards. Still, her versatility and dominance as a woman in the industry means Nicki Minaj's mark on hip-hop is indelible. https://www.forbes.com/sites/entertainment/article/best-rappers-of-all-time/

Stellar1103 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Lyrical gods like Lupe and Pusha T in the 40s??? Where is Black Thought? Jadakiss? I need the hip hop heads to put a list together ASAP. Lil Wayne and Jay-Z, I agree with their ranking. 1
Miles. Posted May 22 Posted May 22 This is not too horrible... but Drake is way too high, and Cardi and Thug shouldn't be on here
TiaTamera Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) I need to see the people behind these things Lauryn and 50 should be higher Cardi shouldn't be on the list since she doesn't write and doesn't care. Her spot could have went to Meg or Foxy Nicki being top 10 is fine but not above Nas and Em Drake needs to be lowered, preferably number 11 Kanye should never be below Drake Jay being number 1 is fine. It's always a toss up between him, Wayne, and Em anyways on these list I love Missy, but her placement is accurate Kendrick is NOT above Jay. Y'all need to cut it out Edited May 22 by TiaTamera 2
Rev8 Posted May 22 Posted May 22 I get why some of them are placed in a higher spot than some truly certified legends it's the sales aspect and WW impact (altho those Legends are the reason why the newer ones, could actually get more out of it) they did put nas and 2pac in the top10, so that rap fans wouldn't get as mad as them tho they would be out of it if Forbes really put their own thoughts on it
