Wonderland Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I listened to this in the car while I drove home; but it feels like more of a headphones kinda album But what I will say is this sounded heavenly. Close to a 10/10 in my eyes.

Chihiro and Birds being two collapses and being one after another. I wasn't READY Edit: Is a video coming out today? Nothing confirmed except a video for Lunch being filmed She dropped bad guy in the middle of the day without warning so anything could happen
zzmyth Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Am I the only one that sees 'Rihanna influences' in this album??? L'amour de ma vie is a 'love on the brain' and 'love without tragedy/mother mary' mix 100% The diner sounds a lot like 'breaking dishes' Skinny gives me 'half of me' vibes. The whole album gives me ANTI 2.0 tbh. I hear kiss it better bits too. Anyway... maybe that's the reason I love it so much on first listen 1
Taylor fanboy Posted May 17 Posted May 17 It's between Billie and St. Vincent for AOTY at the GRAMMYS so far. FINNEAS and Annie Clark for POTY.

I'm only seeing her on June of next year

watermelonshake Posted May 17 Posted May 17 The Diner deserves more respect, one of my absolute faves on here. 2
TROPICUM Posted May 17 Posted May 17 literally what i thought radical optimism was gonna be from the early descriptions of it a collapse, birds of a feather, amour & blue are highlights for now, can't wait to explore all the songs better as i hear it more and more

THE GREATEST was my favorite after the first couple listens but BLUE just might be the most delicious piece of work her and Finneas have cooked yet. From production, to vocals, to the beautiful final strings. Like WHAT????
bxtbxt9797 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) The Diner is my fave. I don't care that it's a bit more basic than some others. The beat is everything. Edited May 17 by bxtbxt9797
wish Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Okay, I've been listening to this all night. I'm obsessed Here's my top 5 so far: The Greatest Blue Chihiro Birds Of A Feather Wildflower HM: Lunch, Skinny, Bittersuite... I'm naming the whole album at this point The album as a whole is insane. Billie and Finneas really tapped into so many different sides of her sound, from electronic to rock to alt-r&b to indie folk to dreamy pop. It's so cool how a 10 track pop album can be THIS layered and eclectic. Every song continues to grow with each listen. They put their all into creating this album and you can really tell. Billie's vocals have flourished like crazy, and Finneas' production is better than I even expected. I can't wait to see how this continues to grow & very curious to see how the public receives this ambitious record 3

Billie has an unmatched quality to her vocal that literally so many artists point out and say is impossible to replicate. Throw some generic pop-style vocal like Sabrina or Katy Perry on this and it would be sooooo bad. 1

bxtbxt9797 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Birds of a feather I can imagine Billie running through a field of canola flowers in the music video
Dear Reader Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I added Guitar Songs and WWIMF to this to make a (close to) one hour album
