Ellie Goulding has been doing the eco-mix albums for a few eras now, but she also just releases 1-2 variants and that’s it. Even with the eco-mix concentration, it is rather odd that Billie is releasing so many variants right after speaking out against it.

But why sell so many version of the same album if she cares too much about potential waste???? Isn't she aware that transportation is also a huge contributor for nowadays' carbon emissions... I don't think that shipping these many variants from the factories to stores all over the World is environmentally friendly. This screams *marketing strategy* for woke points (which would be just whatever had she not criticized everyone else for doing just a little bit less than her when it comes to sustainability)

Even if they're "environmentally friendly" (which they're minimally more so than regular vinyls), part of Billie's critique was about greed and chart tactics:

 

"It's so wasteful and it's irritating to me that we're still at a point where you care that much about your numbers and you care that much about making money"

 

So yeah, this is textbook hypocritical greenwashing.

 

Anyway, Billie is my second most listened to artist ever, and this looks amazingShe has the best aesthetic vision of any pop girl, from fashion and art direction to videos.
