and Taylor is releasing a new variant CD with an acoustic version of BDILH which is expected to ship the 17th - she likely wants to hold #1 unfortunately for Billie.

Of course she is because that's what the world needs another variant of a Taylor album :toofunny2:

Not sure why some of u are a little worried. No one can compete with Billie when it comes to Streaming. Think long run too. She has longevity and genuine/organic radio hits that turn into streaming monsters.

Even though everyone and their mother is releasing next week.

Do you guys know if it's possible that she made a documentary kind of thing for this album? It would be a dream.

Not confirmed but Letterbox has this on her page so...very possible something is happening.

She also said multiple times they filmed the whole process of making this album (not as a professional setting like they did for the world is a little blurry, but they had little cameras prompted at the studio and recorded the sessions)

Billie, and I say this as a Beyonce STAN, will deliver AOTY and will have the biggest streams of her career. I feel it in my bones.

The album is gonna shake up the music world BIG time

I really do like Billie but I feel like the hype is so low for the album rn… hope I am wrong. :dancehall3:

Also, I wouldn't trust the US pre-orders numbers some Twitter accounts are posting since it's very likely she took some physicals out of her US store and sent them to her European stores to boost the tour bundle sales there.

I used to check her webstore sales regularly and a lot of vinyl and cds went "sold out" out of nowhere even though there was quite a stock left.

They might referring to Zayn? Twenty One pilots moved their release to the following week.

Yeah I think they have done very little promo for this album tbh…it's mostly been organic by just teasing songs on socials and letting everyone else hype it up. I feel as if this will be her lowest debut in sales and streaming but at the same time her best project? It'll probably be a sleeper and creep up on charts over the coming months.

I am VERY excited for this record!! I am a casual Billie fan (as in I enjoy a few songs by her but I don't go back to ~70% of her discography), so I am hoping this album changes my mind. I have not heard any snippets (and don't plan to) and my plan is to go into this raw once is it out.

If she uploads a lyric video for every single song, great! If not, that's okay. The aesthetic so far is my favorite of hers and the track lengths are very promising :duca:.

I think the promo has been very smart and effective. She started the promo gaining 10M followers for that close friends thing. Everyone was talking about it and she announced the album that time too so it was very good promotion. The Billboards all over the world were also interesting and kept people interested cause nobody knew exactly what they were. Then Zane interview that gave the Chihiro sound that's been blasting on TikTok. Coachella Dolab party teasing songs. Rolling Stone huge interview about the album and photoshoot. Tour announcement and sales. Her not giving too much information and doing less time between announcement and release has worked in her favour too, keeping people wondering and wanting to know more. The Fortnite stuff and using that snippet of Chihiro. The hype seems very real to me at least, I see a lot of people that aren't even fans of hers interested. Idk how gp is going to receive it but I've seen positive reactions to the small teasers and snippets she has been sharing so hopefully they love it too.

As some people already said she is not an artist that makes huge release numbers but usually has a lot of longevity and critic acclaimed albums. She is also an album artist more than a single artist so makes sense the no singles for the album too. And she is a streaming force there's no denying it the numbers she does with only 2 albums and 1 Ep and no new music for a while are insane.

I guess we'll find out how it will perform in the charts in a few days but whatever happens I'm just excited and happy we're getting finally new music from her!
