Dash_inthedark Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Just now, Tylerbv said: I kind of agree. I think to me it's a great opener, but I'm never going to seek it on my own and play it on repeat like BOAF or WILDFLOWER. Fair. It's not my favourite from the album but I honestly listen to the whole thing in order most of the time. I really enjoy the narrative it takes me on, and that track to me, is the perfect introduction to it. I always feel like I'm reading a page from her diary. Interesting that she did something very similar with Getting Older on HTE, never thought about it until now. 1

I like the cover actually although I wish there wasn't so much empty space. But I feel like had she been inside a room it would have been too close to that Weyes Blood cover. I feel like I might be in the minority when I say I wished she went a more grungier aesthetic like the Guitar Songs cover (also in the minority of not liking HTE's cover). Skinny, The Greatest, and Wildflower all fit that visual vibe to me. Overall though I do like the blue aesthetic it has. But then the videos don't match that. Her visuals were top tier during WWAFA because she had a team to help cultivate her ideas (minus Xanny), but as a director her videos are incredibly lackluster. I thought she was getting better with WWIMF but She is too big of an artist to be giving such low budget videos. I'm not asking for CGI'd mess like so many artists do now but give us a production at least. My expectations for BOAF are low so as long as it has two different shots and isn't handheld I'll take it. 1

That's my problem. How are you Gen Z's biggest star but constantly giving "filmed on iPhone" quality videos A massive part of her appeal during DSAM and WWFA were the visuals. Everything was so impactful and memorable. Now I can't remember the last video of hers that I enjoyed let alone fully remember because I never go back after the first watch, that's how boring they've been.

Hurem Posted July 24 Posted July 24 All of you complaining about the era being "boring" as if Billie didn't drop a masterpiece of an album Do you even enjoy music? Cause it seems like most of you have attention deficit and need new content all the time not to feel bored 2
Riverbank Posted July 24 Posted July 24 We could be doing countdowns to an imaginary deluxe so I guess it could be worse But I hope the BOAF video will serve more budget than the other two. The only thing missing this era is a quality MV 1

Marianah Adkins Posted July 25 Posted July 25 BOAF must be her 2nd biggest hit of all time at this point right? Its her most omnipresent song since Bad Guy with the way so many locals have been spamming it in their IG stories 4
