The album is WWFA…WDWG?'s successor i will never get yalls obsession with melodrama. I found nothing listenable on it especially green light. It's probably because I don't like her talking like singing 4 1 2 4

Tylerbv Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Wildflower was one of the instant standouts for me. Surprised it doesn't get much love. I feel like THE DINER and BITTERSUITE are the least talked about though. 2

Venice B Posted May 18 Posted May 18 It's so weird to me how I find this album so beautiful and so innovative in the current music landscape but at the same time I don't have any desire to listen to it? Like I listened to it once yesterday and was like "wow such good album" but I didn't feel the need to listen to it again? And today I was just lying around doing nothing and thought about giving it a listen again and had the same feeling once it finished. Idk I never had a feeling like this towards an album, a great work but it doesn't make me want to actually listen to it. L'Amour De Ma Vie is crack though, that's the only one I keep replaying 1 1

Tylerbv Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Also am I dumb for not knowing what BLUE is about? The second half seems to reference an abortion or something unless I'm reading it wrong.

Hence why i said I don't like lordes voice which is the first and foremost thing about a pop girl. And if we're being honest, the production on HMHAS is tighter and cleaner 🤷♀️

The second portion of Blue is referring to how cold and emotionally detached Jesse, her ex, was and Billie analyzes why that may be the case with his upbringing and how she doesn't blame him for it but there's nothing she can do to help him. 3

Makes more sense I think the references to being born that way and so blue and cold and stuff were taken too literally by my high ass
Ivan_brit Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I conclude that Birds of a Feather is the best song of the album 3
