UnusualBoy Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I still can't get over that 1-2-3-4 punch from Lunch to Wildflower, no follicles were left intact in my scalp 3 1

The fact that he gave Britney Jean a 70 So Billie's masterpiece for him is just slightly better than Britney's worst album https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-album-reviews/britney-jean-124015/ Motherfucker must be deaf as ****
Taylor fanboy Posted May 17 Posted May 17 My fave 123 punch is the last three tracks. FINNEAS deserved to be bathed and worshipped after that. 3
Blackout2006 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 The Blackout/Loose influenced in The Diner Are EVIDENT. Gosh, this song is so good.
Jenni Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I've been playing this album non-stop since it came out and omg billie made a masterpiece, I don't even know what to feel. The lyrics, her vocals, the production... everything is perfect, she took me on a rollercoaster of emotions with this album, her and finneas are GENIUS 1
Jenni Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Lunch was the perfect choice for the lead, can't wait for the video
Cruel Summer Posted May 17 Posted May 17 feel like this isn't a one-listen album. It takes time to settle. Or at least, I haven't processed it entirely yet. It's neither what I expected nor totally shocking. Something literally shifted when I hear Chihiro - that's an all-time best kind of record right there. I don't have a lot of words for it, but I'm still on the floor. What a song. Everything else is amazing, just in too many ways to call much out. Birds Of A Feather stands out to me. It almost hurts a little - because I get the feeling, but I get it about someone who I don't think feels it. So it's a little complicated. But it's a beautiful song. L'amour was certainly not what I expected, and I'd really like to have an edit that's basically just the last section of the song - but not to replace the original, because I actually think it's among the best on the album how it is now. It's just that the final section is so jaw-droppingly good at what it does that I want to fall into it for a while on loop. Lunch does seem like the right single choice, I think. Probably will have more thoughts eventually.

mellenthin Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) My only problem with the album has to do with the writing. I wish she would stop worrying about rhyming, 'cause she locks herself into a box too often lyrically and majority of the lyrics become painfully predictable (which sadly is the case with most of her music). I still aboslutely love the album, but it's something I'd like to see her improve on in the future. Edited May 17 by mellenthin

Lil' Oz Posted May 17 Posted May 17 It's a very cohesive album. Overall, I'd say this feels like a more mature HTE. She's truly showing growth. Deserves all the praise. 1
