Badgalbriel Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I still haven't had the chance to listen. I'm dying of excitement. 1
dalladallamallamalla Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) I love how the hate on here (which is almost nonexistent) has nothing concrete to say other than "meh, bad!!". Says a lot about how good it really is. Edited May 17 by dalladallamallamalla a word
sneakyishere Posted May 17 Posted May 17 After seeing sh*t like "Finally an album that is better than Eternal Sunshine", I felt extremely sceptical about HMHAS, since that album is well, very average…but after listening I can say that this truly is her best album 1

Harrys Hairflip Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Th Greatest its like taking the best ballad from Under my skin by Avril and mixing with Radiohead. Im shaking 1
Canonical Ensembl Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Brilliant album, but I'm not a fan of those songs with multiple segments. They could've made nice separated songs.

She could do less or double hte numbers. This means nothing. HTE did better than GUTS in partial streams but GUTS nearly doubled it overall
Theluckyone Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Very good album, loved the whole vibe, Billie's voice and the production. Wished something else other than lunch was the lead though. Agree that the album will be even better if they split some of the songs with multiple segments and extend each idea slightly more to make great shorter tracks. This is definitely stronger than HTE though.
Harrys Hairflip Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I wont tolerate BITTERSUITE slander. Its a Reggae/Electronic BOP 2

Antisocialites Posted May 17 Posted May 17 she sounds insanely BRILLIANT in The Greatest, wtf… the best she has ever sounded 1
WildAmerican Posted May 17 Posted May 17 dd when a song if over 4.5 minutes you know it's gonna have a switchup, miss eyelash we know your game atp lol

Says a lot about how good it really is. I wasn't gonna say anything bc I don't get dampening ppl's excitement just bc something does nothing for me when others are liking it but I personally had several problems with this album. I don't love the idea that ppl saying nothing = nobody has any legitimate critiques so… Spoiler Her diction/enunciation is incomprehensible, when you do look up the lyrics, they're littered with bottom shelf, obvious cliches & lazy rhymes. The switch ups are an overdone gimmick here to pass off thrown together, underwhelming parts as a more exciting whole & the trick is predictable by the end. Where HTE broke new ground for her sonically & disrupted the parameters of Billie's brand, this album puts her back in a box. Most of what she does here she's done before, she's playing it way too safe. The execution of any new references (namely the electronic styles) they dipped a toe into were extremely weak in execution & unconvincing.. The synths sound like software presets. Finneas isn't the producer people hype him up to be. There aren't any head scratcher, jaw drop moments. It's a boring album that takes itself too seriously. Doesn't seem like they had fun or were inspired making this & they didn't challenge themselves or their audience. They played it way too safe & it's way too early in her career to be so stagnant creatively 1 1

justin464 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 This was a great first listening experience with headphones. Some songs are a grower for me but you can't deny that this is an amazing body of work. Excited to see what she has planned for the era!

FameFatale Posted May 17 Posted May 17 The album is really nice sonically. The production is really good. I'm not really a Billie stan and don't know too much about her personal life, so who is she dragging in the album?
