It doesn't need to be a literal double album to have a concept of polar opposites… thats just a loose conceptual album

I am actually so excited for this. I've always liked her but I've never stun her. I have a feeling that this album may change that. I've not really listened to snippets either so I'm excited for the full experience tomorrow night.
Also, I don't think the double album thing will happen, maybe a deluxe? But all in all I think it'll just be 10 fantastic tracks.

So do you guys enjoy the songs that have been put up so far? I'm not going to listen to anything until Friday but it seems like mostly everyone here is enjoying the snippets besides one user.

Who started this "double album" thing?

It's just a theory created by delusional fans, but I don't think it's true, if it were I think someone would have already leaked this information

i don't really believe it either, but usually leakers hold off on leaking big surprises like that

I enjoyed everything.

Spoiler

THE GREATEST is very catchy, a good guitar song with rock elements and the DAMN vocals and belts. It's the song that I catch myself singing the most.

BLUE only half the song l-word, but this half is AMAZING. She changes her voice and the production is so good.

SKINNY is sad and the lyrics are heavy. Loved it.

About the double album theory and one of the leaked songs

Spoiler

The leaked Blue that we have is not the full thing but I believe it's only missing the first 2 minutes. The end of the leak is the actual end of the song. And at the very end she says quickly "But when can I hear-" and the quote on the credits is "But when can I hear the next one". At first I thought it would loop to the beginning of the album like The Wall by Pink Floyd but we already have Skinny and it starts normally. Sooo... I'm not saying there's a double album but if there was one the first song would probably start with her finishing the sentence saying "the next one":ninja:

I'm so glad that the whole album hasn't leaked yet, I was so worried about this, but I know that by tomorrow morning the leaks are gonna be everywhere

That's true, let's just wait

The double album thing is extremely unlikely for someone like Billie Eilish. When it's just two people making and producing each song from scratch, it takes a really long time to put things together and those two are obvious perfectionists - I'm sure I've seen interviews discussing the recording of her previous albums where she's said that she worked on individual songs with Finneas for months if not years before being able to perfect them. Hell, I even remember Finneas saying that some of her vocal cuts from songs have been stitched together from hundreds of different takes just so that she could get the sound of every word perfect.

As much as I would love a double album, we have to be realistic here. We know that the album recording process only really started last January (around the same time she wrote the barbie song). We also know that sonically she likes to create something new with each project, which is a lot harder and takes a lot more time to cook than just trotting out the same tried and tested formulas. 10 tracks in the timespan of a year feels about right for Billie. But she's probably the least likely MPG to ever put out a double album.

I have a feeling this is going to be huge. Bookmark me.

After a slight decline and hate train, she survived, happier than ever was a critic success. I think this might be her biggest album yet
