Cate Blanchett uses the red carpet to make a point, goes viral

The dress is pink, with a green slit that she was trying to show off. So, what statement? Solidarity with the Palestinian flag of pink, red, green and black? :rip:

She's probably on the right side, but I don't think this dress intentionally making any statement, except to the people obsessed with living through their fave celebs.

I wouldn't be surprised if she is well and truly over Hollywood after not winning for Tár despite overwhelming acclaim and actually making the rounds on the promo circuit

Not winning an Oscar after you've already won two is not going to end a person's career. :rip:

She has a Cuaron miniseries and Soderbergh film in the near future, but unfortunately I don't think her Almodovar film or Guadagnino miniseries will end up happening (which is on the directors, not her).

The red in the flag represents blood.

Using the red carpet (associates with celebrities & Hollywood) is so powerful.

A reverse Marie Antoinette experience! :clap3:

Very creative and impactful :clap3: a photo worthy of a Time Magazine cover.
