Corporate girlies, do you like your desk jobs?

Do you? Or are you a poet trapped inside a finance guy?

Discuss without breaching your company policies.

it's certainly better than walking around for 8-10 hours a day, yes (I've also worked hospitality during uni)

my current corporate job is work from home so yes i love staying in bed all day with my laptop or going into the garden and sunbathing while working

all u have to deal with is office politics .. but tbf u even get that in any role working with other people :deadbanana:

I work at home now. So yes, but also no.

My favorite job was actually working at a warehouse fulfilling orders and loading trucks.

I loooved the job i had during 2022-2023, but then i got laid off because Capitalism™️

After that i HATED my next job and left after only 6 months (last Friday was my last day). It was the same role but the people were borderline disrespectful and my manager was useless.

I'm starting a new job (same role) next week so we'll see what happens.

I like it. It pays well and fairly stress free. Ultimately it's a job and it's not exactly my passion but it has a good work life balance that allows me to pursue things I enjoy on my own time

I don't love it but it's fairly stress free. I don't have anyone micromanaging me so I can basically do whatever I want as long I get my work done.

I do have a great work/ATRL balance. 10 min of work, 50 min of ATRL. Can't complain.

The job itself I enjoyed more at the start. It's getting a bit dull and I'll probably look for something else soon, but it's not too challenging or stressful. The environment is pretty laid back and I have time to do other stuff during the day so can't complain really.

I'm the longest standing member on my team and I have a junior analyst title and pay. So far I have trained, mentored, and soft-managed 4 senior analysts, all of whom joined after me and make $15-20k more than me. So absolutely fkin not. Can't switch jobs because the tech market is garbage so I'm stuck babysitting people who make more than me.

its very boring, the good thing is being in a big company means there are at least lots of opportunities to do something different so i try to do my actual job as little as possible

It's boring but I'm just there for the money :gaynetcat4:

no. i have to see and hear people say and do insane stuff almost every work day. eg: sekz, jenny talia, child abuse, gore and mutilation, suis side or maim on me... some tamer stuff includes girls shake and show their booby and booty, which i do NOT enjoy even if i were straight :deadbanana4:

it was fun at first, now it's just depressing.

Hopefully you are taking care of your mental health outside of work. I saw a documentary on those jobs and it really starts to **** people's mental health up having to watch those things every day

I love it. I make nearly six figures doing next to nothing all day. I gym, sleep in late, pursuer my creative hobbies and get to spend time outside. It's incredible!

What job is this :chick3:

I do but sometimes it would be nicer to be more outside/active

Last year I got a completely remote job with a nice pay raise. I am pretty much left to my own devices all day. I rarely have meetings/calls. I absolutely love it.

Before this, I was working in public accounting. I had to travel a lot and work 50-60 hours with no overtime and significantly less pay to begin with.

Hell was the journey but it brought me heaven :giraffe:

Been working in HR for the past 4 years, currently an HR Specialist. Corporate life sucks, it's full of backstabbing and hypocrites, but you just have to play the game. Being in HR, you get to see things from employer/employee perspective. :alexz2: I would advise my fellow corporate girlies to document everything and be good at what you do and know the scope of your responsibilities as described in your employment T&Cs.
