Popular Post jadeabove Posted May 18 Popular Post Posted May 18 Jane Fonda is so charismatic and she really captures your attention when she talks. I understand what she is trying to say. It's definitely hard to vote when you feel both candidates don't care about you. But what she is saying is one candidate will lead us to chaos and the other offers an opportunity to a better world, although that world is still far from us. 16 3
SoldierofLove Posted May 18 Posted May 18 She's right and she should say it. One choice will allow you to continue fighting. Even if you're angry and dissatisfied now, you can take that anger and continue fighting for change. If the orange man wins, there will be no opportunity to fight. It's jail and Handmaid's Tale for all. 8 6
Popular Post Communion Posted May 18 Popular Post Posted May 18 The fact that this election is so existential makes what Biden is doing even more jaw-dropping and confusing. Which is why the intent of his actions must be understood so It's clear how he is enabling Trump to win. Reports have been clear. He does not believe polls that say he will lose (his ego) and he does not respect young voters and has thus pivoted to chasing a mytholical Nikki Haley swing voter that does not exist because he is ideologically disgusted with young people's acknowledgement of Palestinian life (his Zionism). There must be some kind of intervention before Biden sets us on a course we cannot return from. 16 1
Mordecai Posted May 18 Posted May 18 She's right, the reality is that no matter how much of a trainwreck Biden may be, a world where he is still president will always be better than the one where Trump is president again. Even if you're (understandably) totally dissatisfied with Biden just rationalise it to yourself as being a vote against Trump rather than a vote for Biden. You only have to look at Hilary to see what will happen if people don't show up to vote or vote for a third party, the reality is that in America's political system that kind of statement means nothing America, the world is watching you, please do not **** it up this year 11 2
Dante Silva Posted May 18 Posted May 18 If either party were represented by a young, charismatic leader that would swing the vote (regardless of actual policies), so it is clear both parties are prepared to sacrifice appeal on the alter of two men who seek to satiate their own ego's (at the others expense) on a second term electoral win. 1 1
Alongoria13 Posted May 18 Posted May 18 She spilled. "Punishing Biden" and letting Trump win due to the management of Israel/Palestine is hilarious to me. Y'all forgot too quickly about Trump's treament of people coming from Middle Eastern nations during his term he is going to be much, much worse than Biden at a global scale and his base will surely vote. 4 4
ImpressMeMuch Posted May 18 Posted May 18 The more educated take of the week on this front! Speaking with thought not just feeling. 2
UnusualBoy Posted May 18 Posted May 18 She's so well articulated and right even if both choices are horrible, at least one will give you some hope for better even if it's hard while the other will instantly cut off any chance of that. 3
spiritboy Posted May 18 Posted May 18 She's so beautiful, elegant and intellectual. She should be inspiration for young women all over the world. US have to vote for the lesser of the two evils. Not voting means Trump can win easier. 2
Sugar-Rush Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I agree with her. I get that most folks disapprove of Biden's handling of the Palestinian situation among other things and don't want to support him, but the alternative [Trump] is so much worse. 2
Pikachoo Posted May 18 Posted May 18 she is absolutely right. Trump and his team tried to undermine democracy. they don't want free and fair elections. Anyone who doesn't vote Biden is directly responsible for the dismantling of the democratic institution. 1 3
chiliam Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Im also confused. I knew Biden doesnt handle it well. But the Israel support from the US has a long history. And did Trump promise to do better or what? Cause i think he would be even worst. Why people like Cardi saying shes rather not voting this year? It sounds like Trump will do worst in other field but will do a better job with Israel-Pal conflict
TeemoR Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I don't exactly agree with her but she is amazing and framed it so well. Agree, Trump is disgusting. Still didn't convince me on voting Genocide Joe though... :/
