Missy Elliot struggling to sell tickets

Timberland should've been replaced with Ashanti or Brandy or somebody else that's more interesting.

Doesn't seem that bad. When is that tour starting? Also i don't think that tour is going to have costly production

I got tickets. They were like $300 each for floor seats. I hope the visuals and production is worth it overall!

This is pretty decent for her? Better than some of the it girls of today who can't even sell one days at that percent let alone a tour :bird:

Is that supposed to be bad? She hasn't even dropped an album in 20 years :deadbanana:

Concerts don't need to be 100% sold out…

Honestly it won't happen but ticketmaster and these other ticket apps need to abolish this "dynamic pricing" feature where they can jack the price up by like 10x. It's actually insane. Just because there's demand for a ticket now all of a sudden they can charge quadrupole? It's just a scam and it's legit upsetting. I remember 3-400 dollars would get you up front and centre and tbh that makes sense. Now you're barely in the nosebleeds. I think bigger artists (looking at you Taylor and other huge touring acts) should argue against it

They should do another collab.

70% isnt bad for a music legend with no new material. but i agree there should be some extra promo pushing this.

Since when 70% is bad? I mean they still have 2 months to sell tickets.

It's not that bad. Missy is still a legend

70% is great when you think about the fact that they have done zero promo for this tour and none of the acts have new material out... I'm sure the weeks leading up to the first set of shows they will start selling more.

Maybe if she gave us a new album...

No but this is fine, she's a legend and hopefully more people go I know I will!

70% with zero promotion, no new album in two decades, and no real reputation as a live act?

That's actually impressive.

The tour is a really great idea, the timing of it is not. I'm sure it'll ultimately be fine, but a new album should have definitely been released first. There was really no hype for this tour, with it coming completely out of nowhere.

normalize not selling out venues but also normalize normal ticket prices

Agree, this practice is obscene and should be stopped.

to be fair, at least here in the US, we're not in a full on recession but things economically are not super good rn - inflation, layoffs (especially in tech), etc.

68% is decent with all things considered.
