naval23 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Someone needs to confront her and ask why she excluded Hot and Wish You Were Here and put on a bunch of flop tracks instead for her 20 track greatest hits album 1
DavidSMateus Posted May 15 Posted May 15 (edited) overall kinda boring, mostly her upbringing and let go era which we all know by heart now... The segment on her love life was A CRINGEFEST she was serving this vibe Edited May 15 by DavidSMateus 2
everyhappily2 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 i saw avril. and i'm here for it. she would be a fun guest for this podcast.
Musicmajor Posted May 15 Posted May 15 I just finished the episode, and it was very underwhelming. Nothing she has said here is new or refreshing. I've come to terms with the fact that she just isn't that deep of a person, and we are not going to get some kind of breakthrough interview. She is very private, which is fine, but it doesn't allow for a great connection with her fans. Avril has been one of my favorite artists of all time and I will support her until the end but i found myself some years ago losing interest because it's the same talking points with her repeatedly. I feel like at the end of the day, she is someone who doesn't take herself or life too seriously (a good thing) and just loves to drink beer, eat pizza, rock out with her friends and live her life. Again, nothing wrong with that but i think there is a connection to be made here in terms of her connecting deeper with her fans. 5
ImpressMeMuch Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Alex Cooper is certified awful - disappointed Avril's team would put her on this 1
popmusicisdead Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Xtina's episode was awful. she just talked about lube for an hour straight. hope Avril's episode is better 2

ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Avril is such a mess in interviews. Reminds me of this messy interview she did with the Guardian back in 2018 with this hilariously awkward interaction: Quote Other songs allude to a toxic relationship. All Lavigne will say is that my assumption is "obviously" correct and that they're categorically not about her second ex-husband, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger; they have a "great relationship" (he worked on the album). "I appreciate you trying to really get the juice," she says mockingly, "but I'm not gonna go there." I explain that I'm not looking for gossip, but context for her most personal album. "That's the thing about my music," she says, exasperated. "I write it and I put it out there, and people can interpret it the way they like." It is hard to talk about the music when the music apparently speaks for itself. 1

Maybe one day in like 20 years she'll release a juicy memoir. I can dream. 1
