Exactly, i'm not that Madonna stan that always has to see her on top, but it should definitely be higher. No other female artist has displayed her vulnerability and made it so transparent and raw on an album. All while being a famous chart smashing popstar. The woman scored a massive album with three top 2 hits while singing about her mother dying, divorce, estranged relationship with her dad, etc. But the bigger slap in the face is seeing Un Verano Sin Ti right above it 1
Crank_It_Up Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Can someone explain how this ranking is complied? There are some albums (so far) that I definitely think deserves to have a higher ranking.
Dark Phoenix Posted May 16 Posted May 16 It feels like a mix of successful albums in sales and/or streaming because some choices are odd. Also if they out LAP at #77 and NFR! #79 then they better have ROL or TIC higher and also UV or BTD higher… I guess they will have Lemonade and RED (TV) in the top 50.

Suilen Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Cute entries so far, but I have a feeling that the high positions will be dominated by streaming giants. I'll be glad to be proven wrong, though.
liquiddiamonds Posted May 16 Posted May 16 69. Metallica - Master of Puppets 68. The Strokes - Is This It 67. Portishead - Dummy 66. The Smiths - The Queen is Dead 65. De La Soul - 3ft High and Rising 64. Erykah Badu - Baduizm 63. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced 62. 2Pac - All Eyez on Me 61. Sade - Love Deluxe All certified classics that make plenty of lists. They went with Baduizm instead of Mama's Gun, which would've been my personal pick 5
Gossip_Boy Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Dummy, Is This It, All Eyez on Me, The Queen is Dead & Baduizm are all goated.
Wondy Lust Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Welp, there goes some of my faves. Was hoping for Dummy and Love Deluxe to be top 40 but i'm happy they're on the list
makeawish Posted May 16 Posted May 16 rock dudes coming in now, gonna be a lot more of that would like to think that new amerykah pt 1 will be higher than baduism but i fear that's it for erykah
Park Jinyoung Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Am I crazy or is this kind of hard to find on the App? I can't even see the website, it gives an error. I want to be able to click through the whole list and every album. Kind of annoying. They should also advertise this more. 1

I appreciate that the site they built has a throwback feel to the old itunes library thing, i kinda remember how used to be. But you are right. So far it's just a link on explore page that takes you to safari and then the website. It should've been a built-in thing inside the app with the write up and the possibility of saving the album to the library. I think more people would've paid attention. I think they've been cautious with these things after the U2 fiasco from a few years ago Edited May 17 by liquiddiamonds 1

AxelFox Posted May 17 Posted May 17 That's.. a bit of a high ranking for ANTI especially given some earlier entries. But I'll just look at this as a random list of the 100 greates albums and not a ranking, I think it makes more sense like that. 2
Gossip_Boy Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Voodoo is kind of the best R&B/Soul album of all time. I'm glad they included it. 1
