Paola Bracho Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I never heard the Germany's song until 2 days ago. Not sure how it's gonna be live but I like it. The whole contest this year is pure trash songs wise. 3

Maybe it's because last year there was a point that, because of all the drama leading up to the main event, people didn't know if Eurovision could go on anymore. And it also seems like none of the issues from last year were truly resolved. There could be more drama this year. I believe that affects this year's song quality negatively.

Yeah, sure, let's go with that. We've had just as bad years before. 1

elvenOCEAN Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I've finally listened to all the songs yesterday and I believe this is my top 10. Ukraine and Albania have by far the strongest, most authentic songs in my opinion. The intro to the Ukrainian song is pure heaven. I also hope they don't change the performance too much. Albania has the most unique song this year and I would absolutely LOVE to see them win. We already know they can sing, so I'm praying they smash in the performance field. A country like Albania hosting 2026 - now that's a concept. Ukraine / Albania Albania / Ukraine Lithuania Finland France Israel The Netherlands Switzerland Australia Austria Honourable Mentions: Denmark Serbia Germany Latvia Croatia

I see you like France and Israel, but aren't their songs very similar to what they had last year. Especially France seems to send this type of song often. And JJ is trying to be like Nemo, but I would prefer original songs and concepts rather. Milkshake man could be fun live though. Maybe the show itself will be great regardless, but I'm not seeing a phenomenon like Måneskin or Chanel or Loreen in the entries at the minute. Last year probably didn't have one either, but Switzerland, Croatia, Ireland, Ukraine and some others had great live performances. And Netherlands would have brought even more energy to the Grand Final.
Hey Babes Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I really hope a non-English song wins this year, especially with so many strong contenders and cool songs in its original language. It's been a long time since Germany and Sweden entered with songs in their own languages. I'd much rather see Sweden take the win again over Austria.
Bloodflowers. Posted March 19 Posted March 19 If Albania was located near Belgium or near Austria, the jury points would fly to them as if they were Nemo 2.0 1
TaylenaStan Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) this ethnic bop this would have won in so many national finals, but was pretty obvious sweden would never choose this Edited March 19 by TaylenaStan 1 2

I too would prefer a more "authentic" song wins, hint: Albania or Ukraine. Chanel wasn't really a phenomenon before her performance in the final. She became what she became only afterwards. Last year it was pretty clear the entire season that it would be between Croatia, The Netherlands and Switzerland. I am still convince though that The Netherlands wouldn't have ended up higher than 5th.

But Joost would have split the final televote more, so it would have been interesting to see how that affect the results. Switzerland would have won anyway, most likely.
gimmelaugh Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Poland just entered top 25 in the odds at #24 OMG WE'RE GOING NUMBER ONE GIRLS 8

Sweden had some very strong songs in their final. Bara Bada Bastu, Hush Hush and Believe Me all would've been great choices to send. 2 hours ago, igninton said: She was already Top 5 in the odds weeks before the contest took place You're confusing her with Eleni Foureira I think. Fuego was nowhere near the top 10 in the odds before the rehearsal clips came out. After the rehearsal clips were revealed she quickly rose to #1.
