There were many speculations about him and Austin Kevitch, anyone who follows them knows how "close" they are. Austin was also Camila Cabello's post-Mendes beard, Nicholas set them up since he was her co-star in Cinderella. Wouldn't be surprised if he was pressured into locking the closet door to protect his leading man career.
