why is this era so so so messy, where's the bops? I loved her first album and liked familia but these singles should have been left in the studio … her identify as a pop star feels confused to me

She stated before releasing that this album would be experimental music, so don't think we should have expected Familia type of music.

These 2 songs are a new direction for her so may not be for everyone

I mean what is a bop if not a well received pop song that is generally well-liked & considered good? All those songs tick those boxes even beyond tiktok. I Luv It & He Knows have not been similarly received.

I really like He Knows (minus Lil Nas X. His part just isn't vibing for me.) and I think the song could be a bop but Camila is struggling to connect with the gp this era. ILI was divisive and you either loved it or thought it sounded like two pans being banged together. He Knows is a safer sound but she's put herself in a weird place in terms of public reception and that's too bad. Maybe radio and a video will help, but I think she's made some choices that are making this era very hit or miss. I also standby what I said the other day, she has a likability & public interest problem.

Yes, that's top 50 and rising. This may end up having solid legs at radio.

Totally agree. She's kind of always had this problem… her public persona is definitely off/not established very well. That being said she has really great pop music and I hope she gets a hit from this album bc so far I'm hooked

This. This whole new aesthetic and sound doesn't feel authentic to the GP. The switch up from previous albums is drastic, and not a gradual evolution. If she is happy, great, do what you love - but I can't see this album being a commercial success. Selfishly I want more 'Into It' and 'In the dark'

It's so sad she is wasting promo on this song while Quiet never got it's chance to shine. We would have been better off if she just released that with a feature and updated production.

#100 on Radio right now has an audience of 9.72M.

This has less than 1M audience and gets daily updates of ".08"...what do you think? :duck:
