Hope it smashes, she's smart for breaking it down with the EP

I don't think that last jazz part was necessary tbh. It feels so out of place coming after Pt. II. Also don't know about the full song. It's maybe a bit too derivative of 21st Century Blues.

Well that was definitely something!

 

Part 2 is very good, hopefully that's the bit she's sending to radios. 

 

The really wordy writing worked well with Escapism but it just feels a bit much here. You don't have to fill a song with literally every idea in your head, the beauty of a good song can sometimes be in its simplicity. It feels like she really wanted an acclaimed song and just stuck 3 random bits of music together in order to impress critics, but the end result is quite disjointed.

Sadly, I'm not feeling this at all. I'm not really sure what this song is trying to be? I do, however, applaud her for taking a creative risk and making the most of her creative freedom to do something completely different. She can write a fantastic song when she wants to and she can write a killer hook like no one else can, but this is just so clunky and a little corny for me.
 

I also am not a fan of her vocal inflections on her jazz songs, the vibrato is just toooooo much and I find it a bit jarring to listen to. She's extremely vocally talented but at times she's bordering on Jessie J levels of doing too much ddd. Hopefully she has a new album campaign to follow which will have songs on them that are more my cup of tea.

Part ii is a HIT I kind of wish it was mainly this part of this song pushed initially then she could have released the full longer version at some point later on.

She's insane, I LOVE it. I'd die for a remix of pt II with Little Simz

i love when artists have fun with their work  love this, pt. ii is def the part they'll play on radio but i and iii wrap this project up like a bow  keep going raye!

She is truly the best artist working today wow

I came here to say excatly this  I'm a bit dissapointed 

stunning.

I loved the song upto the Candyman Jazz vibe

 

Pt. ii slaps, not sure what to make of the jazz part, but I'm not entirely against it.
