Blue Monday Posted June 7 Posted June 7 The video already has 2.1 million views on YT, does anyone know how WCBF was doing on day 1?

WCBF went mega viral on its release so I don't think this one will have a similar performance. The 2min long intro and acting scenes in the middle can be a turn off, but its doing well so far 1

The boy is mine is, on the other hand, an old song. 2
tetrachord Posted June 7 Posted June 7 i think this is my favorite MV by her. Her acting, the aesthetics and the world-building easter eggs are top tier. My only gripe was that Penn's speech might have been a tad overlong, but otherwise, thought it was perfect. 1
LustSpell Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) Her videography has improved so much - and everything has such a similar color palette and vibe that it fits as an entire era. Adore this. Edited June 8 by LustSpell 4
AxelFox Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I appreciate the effort that went into this but I don't think the video works for the song. 1 1
ThousandMiles Posted June 7 Posted June 7 the video wasn't as great as expected but it was still c*nt nonetheless
wantedyoutogrow Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I do think that a more cuntier and Y2K-y music video could be more beneficial for the chart performance of the song but I'm also glad she went for a more cinematic approach
IBeMe Posted June 7 Posted June 7 mv was lame tbh. big budget but went nowhere and the premise is weird. We Can't Be Friends stays having the best visual of the era. That was an immaculate mv tbh
Lightbringer007 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 loved the mv! catwoman oh ur impact will forever be remembered!
ImpressMeMuch Posted June 8 Posted June 8 (edited) I'm so glad she doesn't follow the "self directed" trend that always ends up mediocre in comparison regardless of budget her music videos slayyyy Edited June 8 by ImpressMeMuch
Taylor fanboy Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Time to release the single vinyl and side b is fantasize and shoot this up to #1 Queen. Give us art and charts Spoiler And fantasize 1
Dylangaga Posted June 8 Posted June 8 WHAT IN THE SLAYAGE DID I JUST WATCH! That music video was INCREDIBLE and served CVNT! Miss Ariana Grande has NO right releasing great music videos back to back TO back! 1
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted June 8 Posted June 8 (edited) Why tf is Yes, and still at around #33 on TTH and the boy is mine is still no where to be found the yes and song is dead. Is her team slow (stupid)??? Edited June 8 by duybeeGAshantiGA 1
georgechxng Posted June 8 Posted June 8 so many viral tweets about the video with +100k likes. she kinda did it again. i think it's gonna give the song a nice boost.

Is her team slow (stupid)??? I fear they act too late for TBIM. Should have followed what Billie's team is doing when BIRDS goes viral. It's difficult to launch a successful single post-release without a remix (and she already pulled that card) 1

It's like they don't want huge huge success. Too many missed opportunities in her career. 1
Bimbo Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I love the album and I loved the WCBF video so this was actually disappointing the epitome of budget over quality.
