LovaticSwiftie Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Just finished my first listen and I have to admit that I wasn't a big fan of her debut so I didn't expect much, but I'm pleasantly surprised! My standouts on first listen are: Am I Okay? is probably her best song and she should definitely explore more of this poppy country direction. Should've been the lead single. 28th of June made me emotional. This is for every person going through heartbreak. The Girls is a sweet homage to friends. It's such a bonfire track, love it's vibe. Heaven By Noon made me BAWL after losing my dog a couple of months ago and still missing her like hell. While listening to this one, I checked today's date and realised that it's the date I got my dog in 2009, so I think this is a little sign from her. People, who recently lost someone, should definitely give this one a listen. I will for sure listen to this a couple more times , but I hope she will improve in her melodies - that's where I'm actually struggling to connect with her music. Also, I would love a big power ballad from her, because she has an amazing voice and I feel she could own bigger songs. 6

Are there any songs with good storytelling and songwriting (preferably the ones about finally meeting a man who treats her like a princess cuz the four songs I've listened to by her all follow that concept and it's tired to me)?
